Dear MiTSch,

Me, my husband and our brother-in-low sign and send by mail IMM 5476. CIO don't give information to anyone without it. Our brother-in-low is our unpaid representative.

Best wishes

Viktoria

Thank you very much for a fast answer :)
We found this form IMM 5475E - the authority to release information.
Is IMM 5476 better?
Can we sign it on a computer and send it to my relatives to sign and then mail to CIO?

All the best,
MiTSch

Hi all,

Ok I have audited up to row 150 of the live tracker spreadsheet (up to and including apothecary118).

I have moved the following users to the inactive users tab, since they have not posted on this thread for 1 month or more:

Vvostok
Physiocraze
aassimm4u2
canadian love
MSM-2332
purplegrey5
Smarty
Nick Wang
Salvador1981
M000dy
brill
bbboys
dcho
phantomphp
135mps

Indira / anil or any other admin:
Could someone please do me a favour and finish off the audit of the other half of the spreadsheet? I had hoped to do it all tonight but took more time than I thought and have to go and pick my wife up shortly. I have left the "Last posted on thread" column on the left and also ensured that the inactive users tab has the exact same columns and ordering as the live tracker so it's easy to cut+paste users into there as you go.

I am at work tomorrow and then away for the whole weekend straight after work with no internet access - so can't do any more auditing until next Monday now!

Thanks,
Wayne.

Guys in Cairo VO Dr. Alex, Dr. Medhat, Moori & Cairo

A question for you please, in the letter that mentions that I have to pay for the permenant residence fees, in the cover letter addressed to my name, they have mentioned a different figure than what they have written on the attached pages dated 2007 in which also they have mentioned something about submitting IMM8 !!!

Please guide me as I feel that I need to pay the figure mentioned in the 1st page as the other one is old dated and accompanied with IMM8 which we have already submitted in the file earlier.

They also have mentioned something about the bank reciept that we have to make 3 copies and lot of instructions that made me get lost.

Need a hand guys ...

Thanks to you all and Good luck to Engy, Canady and all others ...

Regards,
Magdy

Hi guys I see there are a couple of people in the same boat as I am so I have decided to post the reply I got from CIO this morning.

"Good Morning

The E-CAS system is a computer updated system and as such, at times, contains erroneous information. Please note: No letter has been sent, you file is still awaiting assessment. You will be contacted by our office upon completion of the assessment of your file.
Thank you "

This is so frustrating but I've decided not to worry about the whole PR thingy anymore. I already live in Canada so even if it takes them a year just to send a PER, I'm in.

PS - my application was received 29th december and they claimed a letter was sent to me on march 10. And i noticed most people whose application were received around christmas time all have the same problem (check the tracker and this forum to understand what I mean). That to me is much more than just coincidence. On a lighter note,If I knew, i would have waited till january after their hangover symptoms were over ;D

Hi Ozonezone,

I've tried sending you pm a couple of times it says your inbox is full. Please make some space.

All I can say is hang in there buddy. There seems to be some sort of confusion between e-cas, the client service officer and the eligibility review officer as to what exactly is going on. For now, I think all we can do is wait may be send online enquiry every sencond week or so.

Loiuse-1, viktoria, Varismart, MiTSch, Ozozone, krokro, mperei02, and to myself, all I can say is let's hang in there, we'll get there for sure.

Take care everyone

Dear friends,

First:

I have been quite busy the past few days and i missed over 30 pages. I overlooked the spread sheet. Congratulations for all who received their medicals including Cairo, magdy580, indira and snow100 who received his 2nd AOR.

Hello Canady,

I have always waited you to speak out of silence and to share whats going on at your place. I am so not happy that you have been delayed with more paper work to be done and I am very well aware of how Bureaucratic people working in such organizations specially the governmentals. Now I could support you with an advice which I am sure you already know about it but let me say it and remind you and myself of : Make sure to take every chance whether of being very patient or assertive or using all your talents to get what you need. Imagine yourself one step far from your dream and consider every trick you have learned in life and expierenced through knowing others to make it easier for yourself to gain such papers. You can do the work yourself as suggested by others here and get it signed or consider taking enough time to socialize with such people the way they will have no choice but to help you or at least do whats considered basic. I have to remind you that you should always write an explaination letter to the embassy for all obstacles coming up and reference your documents in a way that you can always keep record to save your rights. Me myself I will pray to all your family with the best ever from success in the future with a happy life that you wanted :)

My deepest regards,
Amr

Canady, my friend:

Thank you for your kind words.

I only want to cheer you up. Please try to understand the reason of the call from the visa office here in Cairo. The way i see it is that they want to verify this tiny bit of information to HELP you! Otherwise, they would have simply rejected your application, even though it was approved by the cio.

Your application seem to be pending only this bit of hard work from your side, which I am sure you'll be able to handle. You must! Think of it as the final hard job for you here and off you go.

Think of the visa officer wanting to cover herself by submitting a complete file. By this, she is doing a proper job where she works. On the other side, try to have a positive effect on the employee who is hurdling your wife's paperwork. Let him know that he is doing a great job and that is an essential part of success. Stimulate a brain. Encourage. Go with a high self-esteem, determined that you will get things done, and they do!

Good luck mate.

I would totally agree and support such wonderful words that come very true

We're planning on attending CIIP once we get our medical requests (you can't take it before med requests, nor can you take it after you've already landed). IMO it is worth doing since it is free :)

Wayne.

Why is not Egypt on the list ? I just wonder if I wanna attend such a program and I can not do this because they did not enrol my country in that list. I believe it's unfair and too annoying :(

Dear Magdy,
If you refer to paying in egyptian pound, you will stick to the table dated 2007. It was 2,550 for a single person for the right for permanent residence fee. You should notice that you will have to do a copy of that letter once you go to citibank as they ( in the bank ) will take a copy of the table besides your payment. They will give you the original receipt and you will have to copy it 3 times before sending it. With regards to the IMM8 application, I have no idea if we are supposed to send it again or an updated one. However, I sent my documents with including this form after getting no reply from the embassy side eithe by case specific enquirey or fax. I believe it is a standard format of the letter :)

Hi all,

As I mentionned before my ecas status mentions that a decision was made on march 09th and a letter was sent, but I actually have not received any letter (PER or NER).

I have just received a response to my case specific inquiry (20 day-time frame). Here is what is says:

Good morning,

The E-CAS system gives false information regarding the status of your file. No decision was made regarding your file. I would like to confirm that the letter was not sent to this point.

Thank you.

This is just ridiculous... let's not just keep the applicants in the dark, let's tell them to watch their ECAS which gives them false information... ??? ???

Dears,
I am have got a letter from Singapore VO mentioning that, I am in their interview list.
I am very afraid for such kind of alart.
What may have, what they want to do, what documents will I bring, where it may take place, overall what kind of question can thay ask me???

Hello Ziaul

Since you applied as a biologist, the only things come to my mind that possibly cause an interview are:

1. Have you ever worked for sensitive companys or projects?

2. Did you just get married before your application?

I think the following info is useful as well:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/prepare-an-interview-t3109.0.html

These are just my thoughts and I maybe wrong. I am also Singapore VO applicant, so this news makes me worried. But again, do not panic, prepare as detailed as you can and I am sure you will get over this!

All the best!
