I am so happy i just got my PER, and they were perfectly in time. What is the next step now.
My visa office is in Rome, will they contact me or do i have to do anything meantime.

First number is for call from Canada,last I think is for call outsite Canada.J haven't received Per yet.
My brother in low from Canada, the day before yesterday called CIO. They told him that he must be my representative if he want to get information about my application.I, my husband and my brother in low yesterday signed 5476 form and fax CIO to the second number.
My brother in low will call CIO after 3-4 day to get information about my application.Now he is my unpaid representative.
When he called CIO last time, CIO's employee was very helpful.
We will see what will happen next!

Status of my Application online on CIC WEBSITE IS AS FOLLOWS
We received your application for permanent residence on 17 August, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on 06 December 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

It is very strange that I have not sent any medicals ,but status is showing as Medical results have been received.
An email was received on 06 December 2010, but why after they are saying that letter has been sent.

Any one can give some hints about all this.

The medicals line is on everyone's status and is an error. They will probably fix it soon (they fixed it once before, now it's back!). I think letter on 6 Dec is just your PER - ours says the same (for 15 December) and we only received an email.

It all looks normal!

The Irish guys seem to be having the problem. We have another Irish friend here who is unable to log on to ECAS. What is going on?

I do not wish to upset anyone here but you can try keying in UK as country or something. Governments seem to be mixing up a lot. I got a letter from Government of Singapore some time back to my address in Dublin and they had written UK on it.

Once again i am not trying to be funny here and apologies if i upset anyone's sentiments.

That worked!

I used 'United Kingdom and Colonies' as my place of birth and it worked. I was actually born in the Republic of Ireland which is not part of the UK nor is it a colony of the UK and my application definitely reflected that. So this is a mistake by the CIC official who entered the data.

I'm not at all offended by this, in fact I lived in the UK for 5 years and loved it there, but I'm concerned that my country of birth is incorrect on ecas. I wonder should I notify them of this error?

Anyway, please update my record on the spreadsheet to reflect my ecas status as: 'In Process'
The description text reads as follows:

"We received your application for permanent residence on November 19, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 25, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

Hi Congrats!!!!
Please let me know, what does your e-cas status say?
My VO is not issuing second AORs and the E-CAS is being bombed lately so I guess I don't have a true picture.

Thanks spokes! My ECAS status has NOT changed at all since i got my PER on Feb 09. It still says "CIO ER complete". Never have i seen "Received by VO" despite the fact that i have gotten my 2nd AOR. The system is not very accurate, hope they fix this soon.

Hi Erika,

Congrats! Now your file will be transferred to your respective Visa office and you will get 2nd AOR in due course...You don't have to do much unless you receive Med request. In the meantime you can also get your PCCs ready if you have not sent it with your initial application.

Mayank, this is good but nowhere it is mentioned that they are hiring more people...this is just one-off position and this could have been generated out of attrition.
