Congrats, so what's your ECAS upto?

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi Indira, it is just so WEIRD.... i checked my ECAS for the nth time today and still no change.

It still says "CIO ER complete".... and that "they sent a letter dated February 09,2011" (my PER). I hate to say this but the system is not very reliable :(

Anyway, thanks to someone-somewhere, victor.shareen, and kimwayne! ;D

BEWARE----REPOST REPOST REPOST ----- BEWARE !!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone...

Just have another quick question

Was checking ecas...where both my cases are shown....the new one shows...(copy pasted)

My Name --- Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete

After clicking the above link then i get this:

We received your application for permanent residence on November 16, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 24, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I havent received any email (PER / NER)..

Then .....Quote from: Salvador1981 on February 28, 2011, 08:46:07 pm Wrote

Hi Someone,

I've seen your post, and the next ones after this one. I've also read the replies from Indira. I have the exact same issu as you, and I believe Jincymaramon is on the same boat. My e-cas shows:

We received your application for permanent residence on September 30th, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter to "my mailibgaddress" on February 1, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

As you see, I am pretty much sure that in my case, since my address is stated, I am getting an NER with all the papers back. I also sent an enquiry through the cic website to CIO Sydney at the beginning of February, they've replied today saying my file is still waiting to be reviewed by an officer. Who knows what's going on eh?. I'm planning to call tomorrow and find out. In any case just wanna let u know that yours is not the only case.
So what to do or think?

Hi Somewhere (and also Salvador1981 since your case is very similar):

Ok firstly the reply back from CIC at the beginning of February doesn't tell you much, since this was before they sent you the communication on 24 February and they are never going to tell you anything other than "we're still looking at it" until they actually send the PER or NER. So I wouldn't read anything into that.

Now, as far as I am aware, both PER and NER are sent by email. You have received neither so far. If your case has been rejected then it's true that the paper file will be on its way back to you, but this does not explain why a NER email has not been sent.

So IMO do not yet lose hope. A few possible explanations

1) PER or NER could have ended up in the junk folder of your email. Have you searched back in your junk folder to before 24th February to make sure?

2) CIC may have simply miskeyed your email address on the application. I think online queries they may send back to the email that you specify in the query, but PERs and NERs will be the sent to the email address they have on your computer file based on the operative who keyed it in. They've probably keyed in 7000+ email addresses for FSW >J26 so far, so the probability of human error and the mathematics of that volume means they must have at least a few miskeyed email addresses in the system.

I think now is time to send another query to CIC using their online service. Specifically mentioned the letter on 24th February and that you have not yet received this. Asked them to confirm whether it was by email or regular mail, and also ask them to confirm the nature of the letter.

And do not give up hope until you actually have the communication saying that your case was rejected!

Best of luck,
Wayne.

Thx Wayne !!!!!! ahhhhhhh....am a little relaxed now...well for now only....

I did check my email spam...I do everyday...anyways....I also sent an enquiry on the FSW.......-enquiry@cic....... on 14th Feb....No reply as of yet....I also tried the CSU online form...NO REPLY...I didnt even get an automated reply on the online one....hmmmmm...dont know what to do now? Should I send it to London office email or try the CSU online thingy again?

Any suggestions?

Hi, SoMeOnE-SoMeWhErE

I have made an enquiry using CSU form as well recently and have not receved automated reply. It seems that the system works without confirmation of receipt. So you need to wait another 6 days or so since it says that you will get an answer within next 20 days.

hope you will receive goods news soon.

God bless Wayne and all others who r trying to help others FREE OF COST (In this selfish world)...

Unless it is a rejection any communication = good news, because it means you are still on the PR train!

Just provide exactly what they ask for as soon as you can, best of luck!

Wayne.

dcho,

Look at the positive side. Now you know that they are going through verifying your details. Just provide them with your marriage certificate and if possible some photographs and invitation card of your wedding and I am sure you'll be back on track.

Thanks,
DarKnight

And Yes... Make sure of the following points:

1. The Photographs you take as evidence should have more people and not just you and your spouse in the picture.
2. Take at least 2-3 pictures with you.
3. Take Wedding invitation Cards from both sides (i.e. Husband's family as well as Wife's family).
4. Marriage Certificate (in original) even if you submitted a copy with your application.

Thanks,
DarKnight
