Has anyone from either London or Buffalo offices tried contacting the VO to ask abut processing times yet, or even to confirm that their application has been received (as E-CAS seems to be so unreliable)?
If so, please share your replies. I think it is too early for us to be asking about our application, but perhaps some earlier members could have enquired?
Greatest of congratulations to those who have received VO notification - you are well on the way to PR!

We contacted London VO at the end of January to inform them of my company name change (my UK company has been purchased by, ironically, a Canadian company). We stated that my duties and salary had not changed, but the email address of the person providing my reference had changed and gave them the new one. We said we weren't sure if they'd received a paper file yet from CIO and asked if they needed any further documentation or information regarding the change?

They responded:

"Thank you for your correspondence.

We have noted the content of your email and have made a note on file and it will be reviewed by the immigration officer.

Yours sincerely,

Client Service Unit (LIB)"

Whether making a note "on file" means the paper file or just the computer record I am unsure. I am of course not expecting to be the first to hear anything, however I am concerned that NOBODY from London or Buffalo has heard anything at all yet.

Given that time from medical requests to PPR is 3 to 4 months, at least for pre-June-26 applicants and I see no reason why post-June-26 won't be very similar by that stage, really banking on getting medical requests by April at the latest so we can put our house on the market and land in September as planned.

I imagine those with TWP are getting even more concerned, so once again complete lack of communication from CIO + VO combined with infuriatingly inaccurate ECAS status means a bunch of very frustrated applicants!

I don't think you should be worried about anything. It is not how quickly but how well.
Verification of documents will be much faster in the UK and USA than most other places because of the communication systems in place. Royalmail takes an average of 3 days to deliver. Once it starts in the UK, it will be a flood. What I know is that the VO is still working on some pre june 26 applications that are in the final stages.
Relax and enjoy the time you have left in the UK. You may end up missing it after you've left.

This is the thread of guys who have send their full docs to VO's in aug and sept. There is a table on the last page. The london guys are the most behind the curve there. There are few othere VO's who have not put their stuff in process yet (ND being one too) but the London guys are glaringly slow. Of course this doesnt mean anything for us but it can give an indication.

This is my view as well. Basically VO will have a bunch of applications from <J26 which are already at the background/security/medicals stage. They will also have a bunch of applications which are awaiting eligiblity review and selection and admissability (67 points check) etc from <J26

So when a >J26 application arrives at VO, it "slots in" behind any other <J26 which are already at that stage.

IMO the "slower" offices are just those which have more <J26 left to process. Offices like Manila were probably able to look at >J26 quite quickly.

Also I agree regarding the postal service. In the UK even second class mail only takes 2 days. Sometimes 2nd class even is delivered the next day. So I don't think we will see a 2 week wait between visa office "sending" the medicals and their actually arriving.

Once the 2nd AOR is received by Buffalo and London I agree it will all happen quite quickly to med requests.

However, I think we'll see the same wait between med requests and PPR as the <J26 applications, which for London is currently 3 to 4 months. So if we get med request at the end of March, we might see a sniff of a PPR by end of June, more likely July.

Of course, just "best guessing" still at this stage.

That is probably right. June, July or August, we still arrive in summer though. It is stressful waiting but a successful outcome trumps it all.
I hope it all works out well at the end. Cheer up.

Congrats Jignesh :) So, looks like the fire is up and burning already :P! for the ND applicants :).. Unfortunately, we live in Chennai and it would take the longest to receive a snail mail from the NDVO :'( :'(.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Indira, ND VO will probably not send you the 2nd AOR through snail mail as one of my friends who live in Mumbai has received his 2nd AOR through email. So expect an email though we never know :)
