Hi Vicky,

I have updated your entry in the spreadsheet. Don't sweat the "Medical Results" line - it is a bug in the system, the same thing happened last month when our entries were fast added to it. It will probably be sorted within the next week or two.

Congrats on your 2nd AOR!

Wayne.

Basically saying that London won't be processing any pre-Feb-2008 applications this year.

What does worry me is the way the poster has said London has an "overfilled" inventory of pre/post June 26 applications.

Does this mean they have more Feb08-June10 and >J26 applications in the pipeline that they are allowed to issue visas for this year? If so, does this mean any application reaching London now has no chance to get visa this year because they are already overstocked? Of the ones they have currently, who will get priority?

If that's true it seems ridiculously unfair that people are discriminated by their country of origin in this manner. I don't see why each visa office should have an allocation, now that everything goes through CIO first and for FSW1 there are cap limits to control immigration levels.

We are seeing Manila applicants (no offence meant to them) with med requests already, and by the sound of it some London applicants may not even be getting visas this year :(

It's all rubbish.
The excerpts were taken from Minister Kenney's announcement about the post june 26 cap. The minister was justifying the reasons for a cap which is due to the large amount of pre feb 2008 applications. The priority is to process the post feb 2008 applications, which is very close to completion and the post june 26 applications. Once the application reaches the VO, it will take about an average of 8 months to be processed. It could be more, especially for those applying from places like Pakistan etc, and it could be less for guys like you applying from within the UK.
The information you read is misleading. Take it with a pinch of salt. just think about it, your application is already at the VO when some pre june 26 post february 2008 haven't even been transfered. How will they not process your application now?

Hi - as far as I know DD was not cashed for those applicants in October who were rejected due to 1122 cap being filled. Also as far as I know your chances of getting PER if your application arrived after the end of October are pretty close to zero. I am very surprised if CIO cashed your DD.

But this could be a CIO error and if you are very lucky they may count your application within the cap, purely because of their error in cashing the DD - who knows?

Not much to do other than wait it out - you will either get your application back in the post, or you will get an email with a positive or negative eligibility review, but that is likely to take up to 4 months from when your application was received.

Wayne.

Hi, I got my PER on 23rd of Feburary 2011, can you tell me further process.

Dunno :) I guess this process, coupled with poor communication from CHC and CIO and all manner of "breaking news" kind of statements has the ability to induce one with a sense of uncharacteristic paranoia.

Why would you say that applications at London from UK applicants will be processed faster than those applications from Pakistan? AFAIK all applications are "processed" in the order they arrive at the visa office, at least that is what they say on the London CHC web site.

Oh, as for my application already being at VO - I only have ECAS's somewhat unreliable word for that until I get my 2nd AOR! ;)

I mentioned Pakistan because verifying documents for someone based in the UK would be faster than for someone outside the UK.
The UK based applications simply requires calling offices or banks and all school credentials can easily be confirmed. This is why it is advised that you submit your application to a Visa office that can easily deal with your case. The reason Pakistan is being processed in the UK is because of the difficult political situation out there hence the VO will have to do extra security checks. Doing that from London will take some extra time.
