Got this letter dated 9 February 2011 from the Singapore VO this afternoon. Contents appears to be more a 2nd AOR for the pre-26 June 2010. Definately unlike the one posted by ladyk at Page 864.

Pretty much looks like AOR. Congrats! You should now expect medicals request.
Don't bother too much with the sentence about eligibility review to be done at VO, that is a mistake. You have passed through it already
Cood luck!

In behalf of my friend, thank you salvador1981, Raj04, anil and Indira_prab..... ;D

The only thing that holds her back in informing the VO is that she has to submit a contract or employment certificate from her new employer, she does not want to inform her new employer of her pending application with Canada.....

Why not? If the employer unfairly discriminates against her because she is planning to move to Canada then she can suit their asses off! :)

Honestly, I didn't think twice I just told my HR woman could she please provide a reference because myself and my wife were planning to move to Canada over the next 12 to 18 months. She just wished me luck and sorted the reference.

ya even my hr manager was good enough to give me one :)...in fact his reference was the best among all the employers :)

Today I am able to access my e-CAS status and it shows CIO-S ER complete

Rupal

Congratulations to all the new PER receivers, especially Indira (for always being there with a helping hand for all the forum members). I wish you all good luck for the rest of the process. ;D ;D ;D

Indeed they do seem to be like a <J26 applicant's 2nd AOR, stating that they have received the completed application from you (which is wrong cos it came from CIO) and that they will complete a final eligiblity review.

IMO this is just an IT related issue. They probably have standard emails and they are just treating this as 2nd AOR since they have no new template yet for >J26 applications.

We've seen people with queries be told that they must submit a complete application within 120 days, only to be later told to ignore that request, so IMO it's office there are still a few transitional teething problems at visa office.

But this is 2nd AOR and it is clear that visa office have now received your application and have probably/hopefully begun processing ;)

Nish,
Sorry to hear your story. I am thinking in a different direction. Everybody seems to accept CIO verdit on our applications. Thanks to CanadaJimmy. He has proved that CIO can change their decision. I know that Canadajimmy's case is totally different from yours. However, I want you to give yours a trial. I will encourage you to resend the application with the proof of funds. Who knows, anything can happen. Besides, you stand to lose nothing other than postage costs. Even if its rejected again, it will not take anything from you. I am sure one person may have a different answer from CIO.
Its just my thinking. I am not trying to be naive here. I am deeply moved by the ignorance of your agent.

I wish you the best.

Shalom

I agree, however since CIO can take 3 months or more sending a failed application back, it could be cutting it pretty close to the wire for re-applying next year (1st July 2011) if you need some of those documents for a new application.

Just something to consider.

true my application didnt even pass completeness check. my bd was also not encashed. i had filed my application through a agent and he was over confident that POF is not required at this stage.

i think i wil l now have to wait for the new quota to open. thats the only choice with me now.

can someone tell me where exactly CIC has mentioned that POF is definately required....i want to show it to my idiotic agent.

thank you all for you support.

hey nish,

sorry to hear abt the news..but hey m sure you could re-appeal......a kinda similar incident happened to my fren too...his agent told his application would be accepted since my friend had 67 points....he never mentioned to my friend that including your wife's details would get you extra credits....the sad part was my friend's application got rejected because as per CIC's calculation he had only 65 points....but he later re-appealed and now his passport has gone for stamping...:).

so i guess you shouldn't waste nymore time and reappeal.....u r not gonna lose nythin....

Hi Wayne,

I was just wondering if your ecas status still says 'In Process' or has it changed to CIO-S ER complete? As confusing as the ecas is, I think the new statement looks more like a step backwards than forward. :o

This is one of the thing that entirely baffles me too, mine has always shown "In Process"

Guys please answer ... does anyone have a case number starting from Bxxxx and something other than "In Process" as their status?

my status said "in process" until i got my PER...and a week after i received the PER it changed to CIO-S ER Complete...i guess they r running a lil late in updating e-cas....

May i ask for all the members to provide the first 3 digits of their file number? Just to understand the trend of how things are? May be if people feel insecure, they may just provide the first 2 digits of the Application number.

Mine starts with E00. We may add a column in the tracker for this to observe the trends.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
