carl128, sorry for the curiosity ;D but can't understand your status right now (or did I miss anything?)..... in the spreadsheet it says that you still don't have your PER and you needed to submit your GEN IELTS..... but with ECAS, it says that you are "IN PROCESS"?...... ;)

No problem, BTW congratulations for your PER and to urbina and the other guys who received theirs yesterday. Ithink anyone with the file number will be able to check their status thru cic website. I was just curious yesterday when I saw the post about accessing your application thru the website. I used my file number then my name appeared.

Freddie Krugger common give me more negssssss...

Maybe that is cic's way of telling us "okay, stop sending emails just check your status yourself". Actually in our parallel application the status is the same which is "In Process". So far, for the last four years we havent contacted them.

BINGO...just got it...the FINAL DETERMINATION means the decision is based on the application AS IS. With post 26/6, no further docs are requested (in most cases) so the determination for further processing is considered FINAL, not provisional as it would have been in the pre 26/6 era when the documents were requested to be sent to VO specific for FINAL DETERMINATION.
Debate???

Totally agree with you, the word itself does not need any explanation. Based on the documents you have sent they have determined that you are "eligible" to migrate and its final, but we have to bear in mind that there are two things left to do which are medical and security check for those who havent submitted their police clearance. After the eligibility stage, one still has a chance getting a rejection because of the two. Although they said final, I hope that they will stick to their word because I have read in the other thread that there was a case last year who was already on the passport stage and was rejected because the officer issuing the VISA re-computed the score and was less than 67. I hope that will not happen here.

Hello Everybody,

I got my PER in the middle of everybody's debate.....for me, my PER simply means that me and my family are one step (or two ;)) closer to our dream.....

Thanks wayne, and to the rest of the group who keeps this forum alive and full of ideas especially for us who did not hire an agent to do the processing for us..... ;)

Permit me to say this coz I've been wanting to do this for a long time...... TURN ME BLUE!!! ;D

By the way, my application number starts with E.... no B for me.

congratulations!!!

Thanks for sharing this info carl128.I guess, that's the most painful part, when you are already on the verge of receiving your visa, but instead you got refusal after many months of hoping for it.

I am so sorry to hear about that..Do you have any idea on which document that you missed-out? Youre a nurse right? If you are, its either you have a job offer, or apply under PNP, or wait until the next MI.

Just to share with u all..........

Op 6 –Section.13. Procedure: Selection decision

For applications received on or after June 26, 2010:

If …
The applicant‘s total score is
equal to or greater than the
pass mark

Then the CIO officer will …

•forward the entire application to the visa office identified by
the applicant on the IMM 0008 for a selection decision.

If …

The applicant‘s total score is
less than the pass mark

Then the CIO officer will …

•refuse the application (negative selection decision);
•record outcome and reasons; and
•send a letter to inform the applicant (see Appendix C for
sample letter).

Note: CIO officers will only make negative selection decisions. Applications that meet the pass mark are forwarded to a visa office. The visa officer will review the application and case analysis provided by the CIO and make the selection decision.
