Things are going really crazy.. As i checked my ECAS today, my status is also "in process" (medical results received).

Dear Friends, my application is also "In Process" ;D HOORAY! Thank you everybody at CIO and VO for making this board a happy place today and congratulation to all those receiving PERs :D i also hope those who have had their applications returned can re-submit or have their applications successfully appealed.

As for the "Medical Records Received," I know what it is... we are all suffering from the "Maple Flu" It is a distant relative of the "Bird Flu." Basically those suffering from the condition wake up in the middle of the night, draw their own blood, take a picture of their chest and mail it to their VO without remembering a thing the next day :P

There was a severe case of Maple Flu over at the "January 2010 Application Received" thread, where an innocent applicant apparently drove overnight to the visa office, got their Maple leaf stamped in their passport in early morning, drove back and went to sleep...

Apologies for all the nonsense :)

Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on September 21, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

Must be wrong? No one has received ME yet...

Well I would like to think so, but not necessarily. As we can see the status are wrong anyway because of the medicals thing.

Perhaps people who only recently received PERs (in the past week or so) could try to check their status? If they show the same thing, then it's a fair bet that "In process" doesn't necessarily mean the paper files have reached VO - since applications approved in the past week or so are unlikely to have reached visa offices yet.

Wayne.
Checked our status today and we are not even listed on there yet.
They are updating to the new system, so it is anybody's guess what the situation is at the moment.
There was talk that no-one would be listed until they were at the VO, which is why we didn't expect to be on it yet. If other applicants are showing, but their status is incorrect, that is certainly confusing.

Dear friends,
I just checked my application status, it says "In process,Medical results have been received"
What does "Medical results have been received" mean ?
I checked this using my B********number, how did you get the E*****number ?
Thank you very much.

Wayne plz update my ecase to "In Process"

Please Update my status as "IN PROGRESS" as well.
thanks
Hope it's a good sign!

I check my status this morning, it shows "IN PROCESS", and "We received your application for permanent residence on October 13, 2010", however I still didn't received the PER from CIO.
What I conclude from here, is that this is filled by CIO and not VO. I think this is the case for everyone who received his PER.

I'm pasting here the link to the different application status from CIC web site:
https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/redir.do?redir=app_perm_wrkr&lang=en&app=ecas

Hilarious!!! :) :)
