Dear nitoxyn

It is not a joke...... but a silly mistake by CIO .... overlooking the on-ground situation. One fine morning somebody in CIO will get up and correct this one too!!!! So don't worry .....

On the positive side, CIO has at least started updating their eCAS ....... that itself is a BIG news......

Cheers, Anil

As long as everyone is getting the same. I don't mind. Btw has anything changed with regards to medical examinations.
It is a good news for all ND VO applicants. At least now we are able to track our status.

ALL MY FRIENDS IN BLUE CORNER ......

Please check your eCAS status and let us know if you have got any updates........ I am updating the tracker with " In Process" under the 'Notes / Status' column......

Cheers, Anil

At the moment I would take these ECAS statuses (stati?) very lightly. They are obviously wrong because nobody has received medical requests, let alone had them done and sent them back.

Anyway the ECAS is updated every Tuesday so we can have a look next week to see if they have corrected things.

Aha! It seems the correct plural of status is status! :)
"Status" is a male noun of the Fourth Declension in Latin, and as such the plural is "status", spelled identically, only pronounced 'stay-toos'.

So anyone not yet having taken your IELTS test, see if you can cram the plural for status in your speaking test somewhere to impress the hell out of the examiner ;)

I Checked the eCAS & i have the same status.

BTW i found the following question in the FAQ:

Q12: What exactly does "in process" mean?

A12: "In process" is the status given to any application that has been received at a case processing centre or a visa office but that has not yet been finalized. Therefore, for the duration of the Application Processing Time, CAS will show the status as "in process.

This means that our applications reached our VOs ;D ;D ;D

My application received by CIO on 13 Sept'10 (as per Ecas), not on 10th.
plz update.

Well I would like to think so, but not necessarily. As we can see the status are wrong anyway because of the medicals thing.

Perhaps people who only recently received PERs (in the past week or so) could try to check their status? If they show the same thing, then it's a fair bet that "In process" doesn't necessarily mean the paper files have reached VO - since applications approved in the past week or so are unlikely to have reached visa offices yet.

Hi All,

This has been a very bad day for me. I just got an email from CIC that my application was returned with all its attachments since it was deemed incomplete. They send it last Sept. 29, 2010 but until now I haven't receive the docs yet. They didn't specifiy also why it is incomplete. The email comes from the FSW-Inquiry Client service Unit.

Questions: How long does it usually take to receive the docs sent from CIO? Will they state specifically the reason why it was returned? Shall I consider this a NER already?

Thanks.

Hello seniors,

Can anyone suggest what are my options for this? Can I send a specific inquiry regarding the cause of the return using this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/csu.asp or shall I wait for the docs to be received. Is there are way to send them email on case specific details?

I did try, it didn't work with eCAS. I received PER 15 days ago.

Please note " In Process " on my status.

Thanks

OK thanks for the info. This might well indicate these applications which can be checked online have reached visa office then?

Dear Wayne, Maybe you are right.

Thanks MSM , we need the confirmation of the applicants who received their PERs on & after 11-Jan

Wayne....

How about mine?.... I haven't receive my PER yet but my status with ECAS already states IN PROCESS..... you thoughts on this please.... just to give me a goodnight sleep tonight ;)..... thanks

Please indicate in my status IN PROCESS.... btw, mine indicates that my application was received on Sept 24, 2010.... no "medicals received" indicated.
