Has anyone's application reached the VO yet? It's been 50 days for some of the people at the top of the spreadsheet, and they can't just be stockpiling more than a few hundred applications to send them off in one go. Surely they must have been delivered by now considering the spreadsheet is 4% of all the Cat1 apps.

I think the problem is that visa office will contact the application either when they have received the paper file and begun processing OR when they are ready to issue medicals, depending on which rumours you believe. But it's a pretty fair bet that they won't send a communication the moment they get the paper file.

We're not sure exactly where our applications will slot into the queue at visa office but my best guess is that they will be behind all the other pre-June-26 applications which have got to the security/background check/medicals stage. Visa offices have had 6 months of no new FSW1 applications arriving, and now a very small intake, so hopefully this will have allowed them time to recover some of their backlog. However, there are almost certainly still some pre-June-26 (but post 2008) applications awaiting security checks so IMO we won't here anything until the visa offices get to look at our applications.

This I suspect will vary from visa office to visa office.

Wayne.

Congratulations Made711, finally your long wait is at an end.

Cur-rozen, congratulations to you as well, I know you have been quite anxious to get your PER lately so I'm sure you are over joyed now. Enjoy the celebrations.

As for the mail always+ve received from the VO, I think there is no point in guessing what the reasons behind it are. The only thing to do is for always+ve and whoever else also received similar emails to send their respective VOs an email attaching the PER and stating that the CIO have sent the VO the paper file containing the complete application with originals. There would be absolutely no point in sending everything to the CIO for an eligibility review and then recollect all documents to send again separately to the VOs. OH! If only the CIO would just sign to verify all the documents, scan and email it to the VO, things would go so much faster!

Oh Wendy, just think how we could do to reorg the CIO???!!! Put Wayne, Anil, Indira and a few others at the helm!!! We'd have Qorax doing background checks, Hasib checking teeth, and Noolan doing the medicals. There would be no more backlogs!!!

Congratulations to the lucky PER winners this week.

Agreed. We all know how much they like to let our applications gather dust ;)

I had not considered this, the fact that we are "ahead" of pre-June-26ers, however this does annoyingly mitigate the effect of the faster processing at CIO, if we are indeed being delayed by those in front on the old system. However once the ball gets rolling, and applications start getting processed I'm sure it will keep going and going like what happened with the PERs, since by that point the queue will be cleared.

That would be so much better! And fewer lost applications! But the Visa Office will still be the expert when it comes to things like education certificate authenticity and so on, and I suspect the Visa Office wants a paper trail, but who knows maybe it will happen eventually.

If one officer has a month assigned, then who signed yours, wenstumped?
Congrats to both Cur-rozen and especially made711, who has been waiting so long.

Wow. Congrats Made711 this is truely and inspiration for those of us who are waiting patiently. I admire your patience. All the best...
