Dear Anil,

I would like to take this chance and give my appreciations to you and all forum active members do here :)

I have joined at a time where there were very few of us here and now when it grows older and more professional thanks to your skills and efforts. I will be happy to see you all accomplishing what is meant to be positive in our lives all. Not only stepping at this end of immigration but to understand and go throw life here in canada with success and family gathering :)

According to the letter from CIO, i have had my BD enchashed on the 15th of september :) Now i am concerned about the police clearance date expirey. do you have any idea if it is 3 months or a year time line since i didn't send any pccs yet. Anyways, all the best for coming PERsss ;)

Question for the board:

My PCCs become over three months old on Jan 15, so basically I have a week to send them to VO. But there is probably no record of me at VO and they probably wouldn't know what to do with the documents... Do you think it would be wise to make a copy of my PER and send it with my PCCs to VO?

Thanks,
Cam

Also, hearty congratulations to all 5 PERs recipients yesterday; Dr. Ray, Amro, Morri, Kathe and Ahd. Sherbiny. All the best for the rest of the process.

As for the VOs asking for original transcripts, reference letters and PCCs again-I'm not too sure about that. They will certainly ask for the PCCs for those who haven't submitted them but the CIO has stated that once they receive the PCCs they are valid for a year. Only reason they could ask for that again is if the 12 month validity expires. Regarding the other documents, they will receive the originals we've already submitted to the CIO when they get the paper file so there is no point us sending doubles. I guess we're only going to find out for sure when the VOs contact the early PER receivers. Nothing to do but be patient (and endlessly speculate ;)) till then.

Thx Wenstumped :)
I would love to see us all updated by such kinda progress of people being contacted from their visa offices. Yes i believe that visa offices will not be asking for double paper package but will definetly ask for pccs not sent like me here in that case which i have taken steps to prepare one of 2 i have to submit but yet worried about the time frame. A 3 months time line is totally insane and by the time i will have mine ready these days , the visa office should be asking for it before march. I am not too sure of the updates so far but in general, that shouldn't be the rule. Btw, congratulation for your very awaited per that you have had 2 days back :)

I am not too sure of that but you gotta call your visa office and ask them. By the way, you will not be missing a chance if you did submit your pcc before they expire. You will not be using them for any purpose anywhere else so you can throw the ball in their field :)

I have the same concern here too about the pccs and i wouldnt be able to fly back to my country for such a long distance to do pccs. I hope the one i will be getting soon will be accepted by the visa office even if they didnt have my file yet

My Heariest Conratulations along with best wishes to

Cameron
as well as

a-sherbeeny, Moori and Kathe.

And my heartfelt Thanks to

FMA, MARY, Dr.Hasib, Cam, Temask, Indira, Varismart and mptocanada.

I hope all our awaiting friends will get the ultimate relief by having their PER's in their inboxes ASAP.

They probably won't be in a position to accept them until they are ready. You can try to send them with a letter including your file number, and hope they will hold onto them until your paper file reaches the visa office (by the sound of it this could take a month or two).

If you have already got them then you have nothing to lose since they must reach CIC (either CIO or VO) before the three months is up. Worse case scenario is that they will ask for fresh ones once they have processed your papers.

Wayne.

I had the dubious pleasure of spending my time on hold and finally talking to Call Centre this morning. They still cannot confirm whether the second application sent in early November has been received (it was sent to replace the one CIO admitted they had lost in their office in July). "Names do not go on the alphabetical list until the packages are opened. Presently, they are opening applications received 13 October." I hope this information is of use to someone as it left me feeling pretty flat!
On a happier note: Congrats Cam!

congratulation to all the guys who got their PER especially Ahmed El sherbiny and Moori i think it was the day for the egyptian guys lol
