Congratulations Katy, I am sooooooo happy for you!!! You really deserve it and I am sure you are as happy to get this news as the rest of us were to get our PERs. Your PER is only a few short weeks away now and I truly look forward to hearing the great news of it's receipt from you.

Also, hearty congratulations to all 5 PERs recipients yesterday; Dr. Ray, Amro, Morri, Kathe and Ahd. Sherbiny. All the best for the rest of the process.

As for the VOs asking for original transcripts, reference letters and PCCs again-I'm not too sure about that. They will certainly ask for the PCCs for those who haven't submitted them but the CIO has stated that once they receive the PCCs they are valid for a year. Only reason they could ask for that again is if the 12 month validity expires. Regarding the other documents, they will receive the originals we've already submitted to the CIO when they get the paper file so there is no point us sending doubles. I guess we're only going to find out for sure when the VOs contact the early PER receivers. Nothing to do but be patient (and endlessly speculate ) till then.

I also believe we should submit the requested documents only once.
As you can see below It is also mentioned in the Instruction Guide [IMM EG7000].
A friend of mine who is preJune applicant and her visa office is Buffalo received a similar letter on Aug 2010. After she sent her documents to Buffalo and received her 2nd file number (which is our PER) Buffalo sent her a letter after 3 months (on Aug) that they have started process of her documents and they asked for some extra documents such as PCC and Birth certificate and some more.
And she told me she was not able to check her application online until Aug that Visa office started process of her application (3 months after 2nd file number when she received the letter).

From the messages, it seems that those who applied in the first week of Sep 2010 have started receiving their PER's. So tighten your belt. Very soon you are going to receive one (and me too!).

Check this spreadsheet out. People are receiving them anyway from 99 days after application to 140 days. Generally around the 115 to 120 day mark.

I would say it is highly likely that you might get in the week starting with 17th Jan.

Well issuing of PERs is slightly sporadic at the moment so they follow loosely rather than strictly application received date.

Currently 14th September is the latest received date to have been issued a PER so one might expect you could receive one from a week's time or so, but could be longer.

Check the spreadsheet to monitor the patterns.
