Right guys I am off now to my work's Christmas party (it's 5pm here in the UK).

Will maybe be briefly online tomorrow morning but then have a 300 mile drive down to Cornwall visiting my wife's relatives before Christmas, so my replies will be sparse from now until Monday! Hope to see a tonne more PERs when I get back :)

Take care,
Wayne.

Hi Jimmy,

Sorry for my delayed reply, only just got out of bed to read this must have just missed it last night.

I agree this is utterly appalling and completely unacceptable. Travel Dream experienced a similar level of incompetence when his entire package was returned (after a THREE MONTH delay) because they claimed he had not submitted some passports which he had.

FSW2, although they don't have to worry about cap limits and proof of funds and duties matching the 29 list, do have a ticking clock because they need to get their application finalised prior to their TWP expiring, otherwise they have to apply for LMO all over again and pray that they get it approved second time around. So in a way it's more vital FSW2 get their visas in a timely fashion than FSW1.

We spend thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours per applicant on these applications and it seems they spend little more than a few minutes employing blind monkeys to assess them :(

My utmost sympathies I hope you get a resolution as very quickly as possible, but if they have already posted the application there is probably little can be done until you get the application back, but hopefully they will provide you a route to getting back to the front of the processing queue so you can resend.

If there is a small silver lining in this large cloud, it seems that they will be sending rejection notifications by email, and not just by post as originally thought? Or did you email them first?

Wayne.

Thanks Wayne.

I completely agree. I finally understand what happened with my application. It seems, for some very odd reason, the person assessing it was unaware of the TWP/Job Offer Letter combination as opposed to an HRSDC approved job offer. I wish I had made this point more clear in my previous email to the Search Enquiry Email address and also the Fax, but I'm hoping they're not quite that dumb as to not see it.

Now for a few interesting facts.

Firstly, I did not contact them first, this email came out the blue.

Secondly, they say that a Cheque would be with me within 8-12 weeks, and they allow me to fax a change of address. This suggests that they have not yet posted back my application.

I also have a B file number, this was given at the top of the email. This proves that having a B number does NOT guarantee approval.

It also sheds some light on Document requests, an opinion here was forming that after a certain time, if something is missing they will just ask you to post it in. In this case, they got it into their thick skulls that I was supposed to have gotten HRSDC approval, even though I didn't need to due to the Work Permit. This meant they assumed no document request could be made since they think I'll have to wait months to get it approved... so they can't just request it.

It's just ridiculous because I'm thinking, if my pack comes back, and I just post it in again, what if I get the same response? There's no accountability, whoever made this mistake will never be corrected, and may very well be making the same mistake on countless other applications. It's a really, really, dreadful system and I do have a right mind to send a letter to the Minister of Immigration about this experience.

Feel sorry for your case but never give up a hope, a try is no harm, you would be successful in second time.It is also hard to find a system without flaw as man implements a system. But you have still a chance to re-submit in time.

Then your case did provide us a crucial fact as we now realized that a rejection will be sent out through email. So whoever gets rejected, able to correct the mistake and re-submit shortly rather than waiting unknowingly the outcome until receive the return appl.

RaWheal,
