I am sorry but I beg to differ..the last time I applied the lawyer proved to be useless. No one will ever care about your application than you do. It pays to educate yourself about the ins and outs of submitting an application and what is actually required and do it yourself, rather than have someone do it for you in return for a few thousands. All they do is fill out the forms..

I agree, there is no way an immigration lawyer would ever have sent a fax to the address changes fax line for example, for fear of ruining their reputation! I however did what I had to do to get my voice heard.

Believe me: no immigration lawyer would ever care for your application like you do or take prompt action as you do. All they care about is only money! There may be some rare exceptions who may care, if you know one tell me. But even though, I'll always chose to take care of my own issues!

You are right. In my own experience, I made some mistakes while filling my forms but the immigration lawyers had corrected these mistakes before submission. I only detected them after one month. All my correspondence goes through them and fortuately they are based in Canada so they can attend to any queries.

I am using innigrtion lawyers and not Immigration consultants.


I have learnt from applying for British immigration that the contributions of an expert is invaluable especially when complications arise.

I agree with you, I hired the services of Atty Gurfinkel in California way back 2003 and nothing happened. I was told not to inquire about the status of my application. After six years I emailed Buffalo Office and was told they never received my full docs. Waste of money and time, dont hire Atty Gurfinkel.
