Dear all,
At the begining of this whole process i intended to use immigration office(i regret till now for the great money loss and thanks God i didn't continue with them). Anyway, all the lawyers stated that it is quite possible that the CIO suddenly changes the rule and accept maybe 2000 or 3000 applicants per occupation. No one can predict. I don't know if this is true or not but that's what the immigration consultants said so.

Guys,

In both the checklist (CIO & Visa Specific), they are asking for IELTS results and they have to be original. NOw i have only one copy of it. WHat should it do?

hi aakash28,

you mean you have one original with your test results? what I did was filed that original with test results and ordered another copy to my employer address. talk to testing center who arranged your IELTS exam on how to get another original.

So we must send TWO original set of IELTS result to CIO?? Please clarify. I have one and i have included that with the CIO set package and on VO package i have informed that i have enclosed one with the CIO package.

Will that Suffice?

I responded to the original poster:

'CIO only charged credit cards/encashed bank drafts and has not commenced the eligibility stage which will show how many successful applications are sent AORs.'

I think his 'friend' read 'a letter' differently (if any)

yes, you did it right, one original is sufficient. I also made a copy of the original and included it with the VO package.

I just ordered another original for myself (just in case) ;D

The statement from him/her that it was sent 30 days ago was a giveaway that it did not happen..

No dear...only one to CIO...most of us here sent only one original to CIO and our application received with no problem, regards.

this type of activity complements 'negative raters', so we all keep going with good hopes!

our thread also keeps going by now to 109 pages ;D

You need the one original IELTS result form which is sent to you after you did your test.

We sent this original to CIO and kept a photocopy for our own records.

Dear friends

Just came from my village.... (and have not gone through the last 8 odd pages) >:( 8) 8) 8) >:(

Bad news ....it will take minimum 1 month :o :o :o to get a BC. It must be done through court. The rule says that - 'Any major change has to be done with in 1 year of birth / death' Major changes includes complete change of name of individual /parents , change of DoB or place of birth.

Indira was very much correct ........... even if we pay extra, the procedure and waiting period itself takes minimum 1 >:( :'( >:( month.... And I was giving her lectures on spending little extra :P :P :P

Have decide to send the application without my BC ....will have to attach the letter from CIC, ND (to support my 10th class certificate as proof of birth). Wish me luck good members......

This is the update from my side...will go through the posts after taking some rest........ people may be waiting for my silly suggestions :o :o ;D ;D ;) ;) Take care.

Cheers, Anil

Hi Anil,

I wish you the very best of luck.

It is a difficult dilemna. If you apply now you may be refused because you apply without birth certificate. But if you apply in 1 month's time you may be refused because the 1000 NOC limit (or 20000 total limit) has been reached.

I think if I were you I would agree with your decision and apply now without the birth certificate.

Another options, if you can afford it and can get a second copy of the documents, is to make a second parallel application with the birth certificate in 1 month's time, then if an application gets into the medicals stage, withdraw the other.

Although I am unsure you can submit parallel applications for the same principal applicant in the same route, so you may wish to double check this.

Wayne.

Hello Anil,

Dont you worry 8) 8), we are still confident that both our NOCs are not in the most sought after list :P :P and most likely they will not get filled up at least until end of October as per my research. My suggestion is to try again to get this one done if possible in 15 days and apply.

Hope your wify has a proper BC 8) 8). If yes, it makes a little sense to apply without your BC, but with proof that you have initiated the process to register your birth to court. Somewhere i read in the forum that ND VO has confirmed we can try applying without BC, but have to provide proofs and explanation why we cant get a BC, while providing some other date and place of birth proofs.

I wonder why you waited all these days to go to your place and try to get a BC :o :o. I remember the first person reporting a returned application without a BC was way back, more than 20 days ??? ??? ::) ::). Also it's not too late. Please initiate the process thro some good advocate and there are chances to get this done sooner than expected.

Is this the ONLY DOCUMENT you are waiting for? Or may be you are waiting for some other documents also?

BTW I GOT MY BC - 3 ORIGINAL COPIES Yesterday :P :P :P :P :P :P :P 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8). To be honest, it was very easy, my brother in law coordinated for this one and i dint even show up @ the municipality office for this purpose. And your ADVICE worked well here..

I've been in for a toss with the BCs for Prab and our Son. That's a different municipality though.. They talk about '101 reasons why your BC will get delayed' policies all the time.. After 5 times i visited them, they have promised to do it in another 10 days time :o :o >:( >:(

Let's see.. Mean while, i got the first required document first(my BC), so going for my passport reissue application tomorrow :-X :-X :-X :-[ :-[ :-[ and that's the 5th encounter at the passport office for the same purpose ??? ???

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi Anil

To add to Wayne’s suggestion, you could also pursue with the formalities to obtain the BC after sending your application without it. That would give you the alternative of re-sending your application almost immediately should it be returned. Of course we do hope that it would not be necessary.

Cheers
