My application was received on 4th June in CIO but haven't got any response yet. Could anyone help me, what should i need to do? My visa office is Sydney, Australia. Thanks

Also there may be mistake in "pradeepkumar_v"'s NOC, as 2174 is not amongst the post-26 June list (actually its post 25 June list). In fact I believe it is also not in the pre-June 26 list.

In my opinion,it seems to be unnecessary who recieve our package at CIO office.
I don't think it affected our processing.

Dear Alex

Will it make any difference if we write who received ur application? is it not enough the ur application reached date?

if u all want we can add one more field.

Planning to apply within next week. I have just checked the Singapore Visa office requirement - it is saying that PCC is not required to be sent to CIO with initial application. Is this an update??

POLICE CERTIFICATES AND CLEARANCES

Please consult our Web site at: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp for specific and up-to-date information on how to obtain police certificates from any country.

Note: For applications submitted at the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) prior to June 26, 2010, you must submit police certificates with your complete application and supporting documents to the visa office within the 120 day deadline set out by the CIO.

If you are submitting your application to the CIO on or after June 26, 2010, the police certificates are not required with your complete application to the CIO. If your application is placed into processing you will be required to provide police certificates to the visa office at a later date.

I have another question, in guide it says, that if we are using representative then only we should use "Use of Representative Form". I am not using one. SHould i need to include the form and provide an explanation?

Thanks,

Aakash

refer to new op6 manual given under resource heading on CIC website. It has answer and the new process for your understanding

rules have changed after 26 June 2010.
As a new amendment on 4 Aug 2010 PCC may not be required with CIO application

To get it less confusing, can someone please tell me if PCC's are required to be sent along with initial application, if your VO is New Delhi??
All New Delhi VO applicants who applied after June26th, did you all send in your PCC's yet???

No one can assure you here

As per CIO guideline post 4 Aug 2010 it is not required and VO would ask it if application is approved
As per VO list ( which is quite old, may be pre 26 june 2010 - not updated yet) it is required

take your own decision

Sure the recieving date of app. will be more beneficial to us regarding the processing time specially in the early stages.

reciever name is less important but if the reciever will be the same one who will check app. for eligability(we rn't sure of that). So, in future when app. number increase, it may give some indicator for processing time.

my application was accepted by gein

Hi sbo

There is nothing like 'sure or not' AND 'matter of confusion'. It goes like this...... CHC changed rules on 26th June 2010. Came up with new 29 NOC list with few additions and subtraction to the old NOC list. Some 'A Team' did the compilation and put the rules on the website. After few days another 'B team' observed that there are few loopholes / instructions which are to be corrected (for their own whims and fancies) :P.
Then came OP6 on 04th August 2010. It brought few new / corrected instructions like -- Only IELTS (General) will be accepted and not IELTS (academic) :o ..... likewise PCC need not be sent to CIO, instead has to be sent to the respective VO, when asked.
Still few of my friend members have the opinion, that we can send PCC to CIO also.... in case this rule changes again!!!! >:( :-[ . I am sure it is not required with the initial application... I will be doing the same.

I hope it helped. All the best for your submission

Cheers
