Hi friends, I became a landed immigration in July 2012.I was in the country(Canada) for 15 days in July.I have been out of Canada for Aug-Dec 2012.I left my son to join the school.So theoretically I have ties so I think I cannot declare myself as non-resident.My question now is how many days or months income would be exempt for tax purpose? Will all of July to Dec income of my earned outside Canada would be used computing the total taxable income ?

i applied for fsw category cook 6242 noc on 8 feb 2011 . My ecas remained 'in process' from 7 dec 2011 till now . I received medicals on 11 march 2013.med done on 21 march and on the same day i sent rprf+pcc+passport and pof to new delhi visa office. MED RECEIVED line appeared on ecas on 15 april. But the dd wasnt encashed may be because its payable at canada .do u think all the checks have been completed by now like security check and everthing and how long now to dm.do they send pp via courier or normal mail.plz reply

Dear all,

My case has been pending since long (as you can see my timeline) and I was asked to provide updated documents in August 2012 and 4 months time was asked from me that time. However, after completing 4 months time with no updates I sent LVO a CSE for which they replied

"I can confirm that your application is pending review by an Immigration Officer. We will be in contact when there have been further developments with the processing of your file.

Regards

A week ago I sent another CSE and this time I got following reply

"We are currently in the process of conducting background/ security checks for this application. This is a lengthy process that can take several months. We will be in contact when there have been further developments with the processing of the file.

Can anyone tell me what is going on? Anyone who faced similar situation? Have I cleared eligibility stage? Please note that I have not received medicals request yet.

Our couple attended our paper based medical exams on 26 March 2013 and the reports were delivered to LVO on 4 April 2013, while our children who live in Nepal did their web based eMedicals 27 March 2013, and their reports were submitted/uploaded to CIC on 1 April 2013. We had our medical reports absolutely fine but it's been more than 3 weeks no medical results received line added in the ECAS? What do you think could be the reasons of delay? Any idea ? I'd appreciate you if you please share your experience !

Hi All,
My mother is came on a 6 months single entry visa and I extended it in December 2012 to another 6 months.Now it is due to expiry in June and so I was planning to extend again and I have noticed one thing when I went to extend the Visit visa for my mother who is already inside canada .The CIC page takes to the page which is log in using GCKey. It asks some questions like what do you want to do- I say extend visit visa stay and then it asks for some questions about my mother and then ask do I want to make more than 6 months stay or apply super visa.
This was not the case in December.Is this some thing new? Can I apply for super visa while she is inside Canada? Please some can clarify this.
