Residency requirement as in "Physical presence in Canada"? If that's the case then having Business or property in Canada will not suffice...Physical presence is a MUST.

My MP's office contacted Ottawa and they told them that my application is still in queue for assessment and that they cannot give an estimate of when my application will be processed but suggested following up in three months!!! 21 months and my application hasn't even been assessed yet. Stronger motivation for CEC now.
