Hi ZadMalik,

We have similar timelines as well as VO. We applied almost in the same time & went in process in the same month.
Though my address hasn't disappeared from ecas, I believe that your address's disappearance is a good sign because many October applicants have been receiving their medicals lately.

Stay alert to any possible mails & share with us any developments :)

Which country are you in?

Thanks brother.

I am from Pakistan. And i think u from India?

Hello dear

I m a SEp 2010 applicant i want to share some of my experienc with u

My case was In process on 2 dec 2011.....i waited for the communication from VO.....in March i asked for communication.... in which they responded in april last that a letter was sent to you in january.....i was upset as i didnot received any such letter....on 27th May they sent me a 15 days notice to submit documents mentioned in January's letter....immidiately i took note and sent a email enquiry and a fax to VO that i have not received any letter therefore how could i send the documents when i dont know what is to be submitted

in response to my request they sent Medical RPRF passport request on 5 June and old request letter dated january 2012 with a request to submit all documents by March 2012.

Now i m submitting all these documents at the earliest with a note that request letter dated january 2012 is received in June

Moral : Never wait for the VO to communicate with you. Once ur case is In Process....ask for communicattion atlest once in very month

Hope it will help u

Dear All,

What i have noticed from most forums is that after RPRF DD is encashed, it takes 4- 6 weeks for issuing PPR.
Please note that this is only in case of london visa office .

So if we can find out our RPRF DD encashing date then we will know our approx. PPR date.
You can check with other members timeline who got their medical & RPRF request in JAN/FEB .

Cheers

I always communicate with them through the case specific enquiry online form at the following link:

You should take a draft on your name which is convertible and can be deposited in Canada right away.
You could take cash as well.

I do not know whether you can bring Rupees ( I know you can bring a draft in US$ that has a sufficient equivalent of convertible value).

Bring a draft from a Bank that has headquarters or branch in Canada and have it in Canadian or US$.

Even if Rupees were acceptable, you would have expect the Border Officer to know the current rate and do math etc.

Again, I do not know if you can take Rupees for Landing, I haven't so far read about anyone who did and those few cases I have read about everyone said they took Certified Bank Draft from a major Bank (With branch/headquarter in Canada) and/or cash.

Good luck.

Hi all
Congratulations for all with progress in their application and all the progress for the best all the way.
Regarding driving license in Canada, they have three levels.
G1=After written exam in signals and rules, allows you for training with a G licensed driver with 4 or more years of experience, You should have then training for awhile and restrictions on where to drive etc.
G2=After road test for G2 and again waiting period for more experience and training.
G= full private driving license.
A very long process but if you have experience and a driving license from another country, it will make it easier.
So before leaving to Canada , keep your driving license valid and go to your traffic department and issue " Driving Experience Certificate" translate both the certificate ad the driving license to English, when applying here for a driving license this certificate should not be older than 6 month so issue just before leaving to Canada, and your Valid driving license.
This way when you submit application for driving license supported by Driving license and experience certificate, After you pass the G1 test written exam you can book for G license direct without waiting or even passing though G2 stage even you should pay 85 CAD instead of 125 because G2 fee which is 40 CAD will not be included.
Good luck to all
