Also, friends of mine attended once they got MR... they too had fab feedback to give... please do attend... website to register (and to find more details): https://www.newcomersuccess.ca/index.php/register?lang=en-GB

Best,

BhaktiUjjwal

I would like to congratulate you for posting this.

And I also have one question: What if you can't attend there personally is there any chance that we can get these informations by mail?
I saw the website and it was really interesting but I am from Albania and can't be there to attend these sessions.
Is that session just for the Fed. Skilled workers or even to Quebec Skilled workers (me) ?

Thanks

Just noticed that my address has disappeared again. I am not sure when this happen because I am not checking E-cas obsessively anymore and not sure if I noticed my address there the last time I logged in. No word from Buffalo since February 2011..almost a year! Everytime I email them they say that my application is in process. I am losing it here. CAIPS provided no help since it was all blank.

Has anyone tried the "pressure through your local MP" route ? Any tips or advise on how to approach an MP/what to tell them?

Hang in there Buffalo folks..

I'm in the same boat as you, same responses from VO, same caips... pathetic.

My address on the ECAS has changed... I had updated my address and e-mailed them 8 months ago and finally I checked my status after a month. I see Current Home Address and Mailing Address. This is exciting as it shows the new right address and hopefully things are moving 'forward'

Hi rkv,

Sorry to hear about the rejection.

The applicant has to prove "BLOOD RELATION" first and then the physical presence of the relative in Canada. Did you provide Birth certificate of your brother indicating that you have same parents? This is a MUST doc for obtaining the points. If you have not provided the mandatory doc (BC) then there is no point in challenging the VO. He has taken the decision based on the information available to him.

It is very difficult (almost impossible) to reverse a Correct decision of VO. But you may try by writing a Plea letter and provide the mandatory document ...also provide employment letter, current Utility bills, Notice of assessment, Tax papers that will prove his physical presence in Canada. Bank statements/PR card are not considered Proofs of physical presence in Canada. Anyboby can have a bank acct in any part of the world....that does not mean that he is currently living there.

There is no harm in trying with a PLEA letter...but do not do the mistake of challenging the VO.

Hi Cam,
you can ask your local Member of Parliament to follow up your application,( as far as I know it is for people living in Canada) ,but they can only follow it up. They can't apply any pressure to speed up he process. At least my MP couldn't. She only said that it is not in process(a few months ago), a few days ago she said ,it is in process, and you may hear sth until April 25, and that's all! However I can't be sure that she is right and I really will hear sth until then. That's all MP did for me.
If anybody else has any experience with MP, please share!

Cheers
Bahar

Dude,

Our timelines are sooo close. I am a dec 24th 2010 applicant and you are dec 23rd 2010 applicant. Please keep me posted if you have any updates.

Thanks,
satya.

:'( :'( I am so desperate for someone to get MR at Buffalo or the transfered VO's :'( :'( This is certainly the most unfair and discriminating process there could be depending on your geographical location.

Sorry just needed to get some frustration out of my chest given that another month has passed. In a week from today, it will be 16 months since I applied. Honestly, I am scared this will go to the current timeline that buffalo has for pre-june applicants of 24 months

congratulation. Best of luck.

Rod,

I absolutely agree with you ! It is so very frustrating to wait endlessly...looking at the people from oct 2010 still waiting for MR...i wonder how much longer I will have to wait considering i applied in May 2011. Whats wrong with Buffalo? why are they so darn slow? aren't they answerable to anyone??

Guys,

I have been waiting for so longggg too, I applied in Aug-2009 and haven't heard anything about my MR.

Last email I received was on Dec-23 from Detroit to provide photos of all, and I did it in the first week of Jan. I am still waiting...........................
