IN THE IMMIGRATION GUIDE THEY HAVE CLEARLY MENTIONED THE REASONS WHICH MAY DELAY PROCESSIN

Factors that may delay processing

The following factors may delay the processing of your application:
• unclear photocopies of documents
• documents not accompanied by a certified English or French translation

•information and documents provided required independent verification
•a medical condition that may require additional tests or consultations

•a criminal or security problem

Yes, NDVO would ask for the documents......but not immediately....may be on next BFD or another BFD.

We can take sonu's case for example: he had submmitted all pp's copies....NDVO checked his entry/exit dates and aslo the marksheet date...(they were not matching acc. to NDVO) so they had doubt...for which they asked for clarification....

u havent sent ur husband's pp copies....how can they check the entry/exit dates...and also cross check with marksheet/employment joining/dates?...they check whether the applicant was in right place when he/she joined company or wrote some exam etc.

for all that they need pp copies..specialy when some one has travel history.

Sonir application had some mistakes...so he did sent rectified one before MR.

So dont wait for them to ask for the copies....it will just delay.

NDVO aked for sonu's original Old and new pp...that is normal they ask for every one.....for visa stamping.....they asked old pp to check with the photocopies(as they have doubt n wanna confirm that photocopies r not copies of photoshoped)

No harm in sending the copies....it wont arise complication rather fasten the process.

Many thanks for this detailed and clear info canadestin! I understand your point.

To understand things better and for GK, I would like to put forth a precise picture before you (so that you can advice best) and then put forth a couple of questions.

I am the PA. I have an old passport which has no travel history (my new one has). My husband too has old passport but he has a travel history in that. However we sent notarised copies only of the new ones of both.

Now, we have a forum member "mitsu" who is a friend of mine and had applied just 10 days prior to me i.e. Sept 20, 2010... they recently got their visas on Dec 8, 2011... Their case was that the husband is the PA... he has no old passport; but the wife had old & new passports, with travel history in the old one... and they had mentioned that with the application... However they submitted notarised copies only of the new ones. But they never got any request to submit notarised copies of the old passport of the wife... And they got visas too! While submitting PPs for visa however, they submitted the old & new... I don't think it was asked for though!

Now with this background, my questions are:

1. Where can I check out for my BFD date? I recently got a GCMS Notes... Where in it? Or elsewhere?
2. In which form do we mention travel histories? Because of this discussion, I checked out the photocopied set of forms that we had submitted. Therein I found no head of "Travel history". Whereas when I looked at the present application package provided on CIC website, they have a separate form on that. We never filled any such form / info when we applied in October 2010!
3. Despite mitsu's case, do you still suggest I send off the notarised copies of the old PPs?
4. My only concern in doing "3", is that it should not confuse the officer more in the case that he/she has already taken it as fine and not asked for it. Or it should not come in the way of processing. (The status is that I turned In Process on Dec 2, 2011 and my address on ECAS has disappeared since 24th or 25th December 2011 and even now). Just confirming one last time!

Thanks again... for your patience and help!

Hi Bhakti,

As still you have not received Medical Request, as per my opinion no need to submit anything as of now to create any confusion to Visa office. If they fell that they need to verify your old passport details. They may request you along with Medical/RPRF & passport.

This is just my opinion, you can check with experts of this forum also...

Regards,

Sonu
