Hi Mitali, Dr. Hasib, Param, canadestin, & qorax
My timelines are parallel to Param but still RBVO.
Shall I wait few days or go for CIPS?
My consultant ask me to wait till end of December.
What should I do?

Thanks.

Did u send CSE? if not send.....it is like a reminder to NDVO....if they had forget to take action on ur file..then will take some action...can expect some progress

abt CAIPS...there is no harm in applyng for it anytime....u will come to knw what exactly is happening with ur application....but it wont speed up the process of ur application.

Hi Canadestin,

No, they don't ask for expired passport during stamping.

Copies of expired or filled passports have to be sent with initial application to CIC.

Param

Dear Param,

But the letter I received they clearly mentioned about the current and cancelled passport and I have send the both to CHC NDVO.

My expired passport was without any kind of stamp. I had sent a photocopy of all the pages of the old and new passports.

Was your cancelled passport also unused?

Hi Sagar,

Gentle Case specific inquiries or CAIPS do not harm your application in any way. But make sure that you seem to be extra polite while drafting such letters. They actually remind them of forgotten applications. Send them a Fax to which they respond quicker.

"Valid passport or travel document for yourself, and all family members. This must be received at this office by: MM/DD/YYYY "

was it diff from above?

Dear Canadestin,

I just checked the letter that I received from NDVO and it says exactly what you just mentioned..

"Valid passport or travel document for yourself, and all family members. This must be received at this office by: MM/DD/YYYY "

I've checked the contents of the letter requesting PP, and It nowhere mentions that cancelled or expired passports also need to be sent for stamping.

If it is specifically mentioned in some letter than it actually makes a difference.

But I feel (only feel) that there would be no harm in sending the cancelled PPs, if you wish.

I dont remember exactly the name of the member but he was asked to send old PP. He may have some travel hist/cancelled visas which needed to be checked...or had a new pp and the application was done with old pp #.

If its not a problem then both of them should be send.

i wont send cancelled pp's......i have altogether 3 pp's(2 cancelled)...one of the cancelled one looks NEW n i dont want them to paste VISA on cancelled one(by mistake) :'(

i have travelled to 2 countries n totals Visas 3.....refusal- 2 countries

visas, travel n refusal all are on OLD PP'S

i did send copies of all PP's and clearly mentioned the reason for refusal in the application...may b thats the reason they dint ask for cancelled PP's
