Hey Buffalo's,

I sent in some job change info in July or August and received an email which had a B file number which they said to refer to in any future correspondence. I've always wondered if this is assigned when file arrives at Buffalo or when it goes in process. Anyone have a clue? I also sent off for CAIPS Notes last week and should have them between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'll fill you guys in when I get back.

Mark

Same with me too. I tried to update the information on file (address change & New born baby). I sent an email with my receipt number and I received a reply with some "B" number and they mentioned that my file is in process. standard reply.

Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete

Rod,
I will find that info and will post the username soon. tnx.

satya.

Today, I received the following message. I am not sure what it means. Note: My e-Cas is still RBVO.

RE: <full name> (DOB: <my date of birth>) - E(my E#number)
Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.

Can you please point out some of the people? I am really interested.

Hi Rod,

I browsed almost about 50 ~ 70 pages back and couldnt find any. May be, I got confused with the VO or AOR date for application sent date.

Thanks for clarifying though.

Mitali / Rod,

Hi Mitali, How are you? its been a while since we came across the forum. I was lil busy and was just a silent monitor for a while.

Q: I received an email when enquired about the application status with the same standard reply. "Application is in process and dont know when will it be complete". But, status online when verified shows as "Received by Visa Office". What does this mean?

Please let me know.

Thanks,
satya.

I don't think anyone has any ideas what that means. Other than the fact that they opened your file if they gave you a B file number (at least this is like a 2nd AOR)

hi i see from cic website that another option for immigration is added which is PHD study i need to know the institutions and colleges approved by cic for this option and i have bachelor of pharmacy , is this option suitable for me or not ? regards

Given that you only have a bachelors you are not suitable. You will need to have completed 2 years of PHD (doctorate) studies at a Canadian University.

Hi Satya,

How have you been doing? Got the msg that you have been busy....anyways a belated Diwali and Eid greetings to you and your family.... :)

You are a Dec, 2010 FSW2 applicant from Buffalo and in RBVO (Just putting all the details together :)).

1. Buffalo VO is one of the slowest.
2. Our tracker does not show any processing of any Dec 2010 from Buffalo applicant yet.
3. You are FSW2 applicant....more delay; atleast that's what the trend shows despite the FULL contribution by applicants like you to Canadian ECONOMY. ???
4. Unfortunately, nothing can be predicted and have to continue waiting. >:(
5. At least being in RBVO means that your file is with VO (Nothing but LITERAL meaning)

I am not quite sure but I feel that all FSW2 applicants are separated from the FSW1 applicants at the CIO stage.

FSW2 applicants would have AEO, applicants already working in Canada and applicants who are currently in Canada on Visitor status. Now the only common factor in all the 3 category of FSW2 is that they are already contributing to the Canadian Economy. .

AEO applicant - Application fees to get a positive AEO, further extension costs ($$$$ contribution)
Job holders in Canada - Initial LMO and WP and further extension costs ($$$$ contribution) + Skill contribution + Tax
Visitor status holders - Extension of status and cost of living being paid by the applicant.....so either the money is applicant's own or is being sent from abroad + Tax ( if the applicant wants to stay in GOOD books of CIC/Govt.) ($$$$ contribution)

And if free money is trickling into the Economy, then its anybody's guess, that is the most favourable situation. So more these cases are delayed the better it is for the Canadian Economy money wise..... I sincerely hope that my thinking is proved WRONG (I so want to be proved wrong) ...but that's what I think for now...until I get some solid proof.

Hi Midoo,

Even though you are an Aug 2010 applicant, you have been in RBVO since May 2011 and would complete 6m in RBVO only after Nov 2011. IMO, you could wait for another month or so after Nov 2011 to order CAIPS as I am afraid there might be nothing in your CAIPS yet,

Hi Mitali,

Wish you and your family the same. :)

Thanks for the detailed info. And, why is there a difference in status(RBVO vs In process)? Is this any way positive?

Thanks,
satya.
