To all the experts and midoo here as u had ur application received by CIO at the same date as mine. I made an status enquiry email on 18 th December, got a reply on 23rd December stating that they assessed my application and sent me a email on 13th December 2010 which obviously I didn't receive. So I've requested to resend the assessment letter again on 24 th December. Hope I'll get good news / bad news/ any news soon.

I HOPE TO HEAR very good news as i know that you nervous and see inbox every second and waiting to see any thing from cio ,all these emotions i feel it,so i think that you may hear decission in the end of the week ,and also i sent them email with my file no .,and waiting to hear any response from them ,by the way many thanks for you as you give me vital information

This thread has given an improvised name to AOR, as we get this email (AOR) after our Eligibility Review is considered Positive ..... so PER is basically Positive Eligibility Review .....

PER isn't really an official term, just something we've been throwing around the thread It stands for Positive Eligibility Review.

I guess it should really be Confirmation of Positive Final Eligibility Review but PER sounded a bit more catchy Basically it means you have passed the completeness check and a full eligibility review which means they have assessed all your work experience, references and education against the ministerial instructions and are satisfied that you have enough experience in the 29 job descriptions for FSW1 (for FSW2 they just check the TWP/LMO or AEO I think to confirm it satisfies the ministerial instructions).

Because the FINAL eligibility review has been done we give it a different name to AOR (Acknowledgement Of Receipt) which pre-June-26 applicants got from CIO, since they only had an initial eligibility review and the final review was done at the visa office once they sent all their supporting documents.

So once you have PER your file is transferred to your visa office who will do security and background checks, and also employment verification if they believe it is necessary, before requesting you to do medicals.

when i sent email to cio ,cio answered me yhat your file no :Bxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ,and once assessment finished you will contact from our office and that was in 7 december 2010 ,and till now i didnot hear any rhing whether positive or negative ,and thanks for your sincere feeling
