IMO, "Medical Received line" on Ecas means that Meds are okay.

Lets assume a case with a request for Re Meds. In this case the DMP sends the results to Ottawa and upon investigation if VO is not satisfied, then issues a RE-MED and there is no indication on Ecas. But when VO is satisfied with the results the "Med Received line" is updated on Ecas.

My dear people. I am a post June 2010 applicant, and received my MR some months ago.
As of the time of receiving the MEDS my wife was 7 months preg. Am a cardiothoracic surgeon and I felt the risk was not really worth it. So I asked the VO for a deferment of my wife's Xray exam which they kindly granted. Now my wife has delivered and we are waiting for the baby's Intl passport to be processed here in England. My question is this should my wife go now for her xray exam or wait to do the her xray part with the baby's MR then both baby and Mum can do the meds. {NB- Myself and my son's have all completed our meds while my wife did all her meds but for the xray}.

I think it would be better if both your wife and the child do the Meds together. It would save you time and logistics of arranging 2 separate appointments.

Thank you and thank you again for your kind response. ;D 8) You are d man. I also felt the logistics should be considered. I guess i will wait till the baby's MR is ready. Then they could both do the meds together. I appreciate your time bro ;D

From some recent experiences of Lawrence, mitsu etc... I think it should be about 12 to 20 days (consecutive days i.e. even non-working days) from the day of receipt of MR etc... of course largely depending upon the speed of the post!

Needless to say that I am extremely happy for you. All the calculations for Time management paid off and thankfully you had a smooth processing despite the obvious hurdles.

Hi Rupesh,

AS I have mentioned in my post, if you can land during early stages of pregnancy, then she may avoid being detected.......Rupesh, frankly......this is mis representation and HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.

Also, you have to consider the fact that Airlines have strict rules in place about flying pregnant ladies....it may create severe complications for child and mother.

Amar, has rightly pointed out another important factor that Canadian doctors (for that matter any doctor) would be little reluctant to accept patients who are already in term......someone would take up the case eventually but you might struggle to find a willing doctor. You don't want to be in stress during that time....trust me.

Land in Canada and have baby when you are fully settled.....with no stress......unless your wife is already expecting one.

NB: Just want to add that all Meds are received by Ottawa centre.

DMP doesnt send med. report to Ottawa...they send it to respective VO/CIC Medical Office....

All about Medicals.
Medical Reports are sent to CIC Medical Office by DMP

The examining physician sends the completed IMM 1017E, IMM 5419E and other reports to the appropriate CIC immigration medical office. After completing the immigration medical assessment, the CIC medical officer will send to the visa office a Medical Notification IMM 5365B that contains the results of the examination. Louise VO is Berlin....and if Med. Reports are supposed to be send to ottawa,,then where was the need for berlin VO to send her med.report to London ? they can send it directly to Ottawa...?

Regarding Indication of Re-Med on eCAS....even there is no indication of "VO..ELIGIBILTY REVIEW COMPLETE" ...directly from RBVO we see status change to IN PROCES.

U have quoted abt Qorax...i dont knw much abt him... i feel u havent understood what exactly he meant or what cases he explained.

I have read the post/thread of Qorax...i understand that he was talking abt Re-Med/Second Med which are sent to Ottawa....even that need proof.

Though they have decided to go paperless from Dec onwards..... But still LVO sending papers through snail mail.. as per my consultant.

I got addnl doc req via email so was confused if they will send the MR via email as well. Does the MR contain paper which have to be send via snail mail or can it be sent via email???

All MR related papers will be sent by DMP through courier, DMP will give the tracking No. also........ I wish they shd start sending MR's by email to curtail the timings of postal delays... Wish u all the best for speedy MR

ohhh so the MR will be send by my DMP and not directly from the LVO...so it adds another layer time consuming step LVO to DMP to you...wish u speedy MR and holidays as well...hope the new year brings the good news
