Hey guys,

I had decided this morning that I wasn't going to check e-case for a few days. My curiosity just got the better of me.......and my status is now Decision Made!!!! Hehehehe, well what do you know!

By now you already know that Indian passports cannot leave/enter the borders of Indian soil.

I am doing some research on the topic...in the meantime you go thru the following information. I will keep adding information for you.

My suggestion is to contact the Customs office ASAP. The penalty for such event is anything between Rs 5000 to Rs 50,000 and 2 yr prison OR BOTH

You and probably also your husband will be implicated but dont worry...since you did not know that sending /receiving Indian passports in and out of India is Illegal you may plead your case accordingly with the Customs. Where do you live Vakta? Is is possible to contact the people as suggested below...the people might have left but the Offices are still viable...try contacting them....or contact the # which came with the Customs office letter.

Hehehehe, just when I was writing this message, ECAS decided to remove my address.....!
For the first time in the process my address disapeared, YAHOOOO!!! :
My heart is skipping a beat...could it be I'm getting my PPR???....

Hi Mitali, that was a good informative post to help our friend but just to point out an anomaly with your advice - Ignorance of law is generally not considered a good defence. In fact it can land you in bigger soup. I suggest using the ;D wink wink ;D cough cough ;D technology that is widely used in our country.

Yes there is progress in my application That kind of progress we are all waiting for and which some of our friends have acheived earlier.
My ecas is showing Decision Made
And ................... I have just recieved my passports with the nice glossy Canadian VISA
They have also sent me a paper that describes the landing procedure and some other instructions along with all my qualification documents

I wrote to my visa office to ask status of application as my PER counted almost six month. And they replied the following.

Good day,

Kindly be advised that this application is under review. Once reviewed and a decision made, you will be advised on the next steps.
