hi friend, Please tell us what happened? what was the exact reason of NER??

hello bistolfi49

I provided my University degree at the time of application, just didnt attach a transcript.

The reason they eventually gave was that I didn't attach my University transcript to my application but i didnt see the need to attach it since my degree certificate contained most of the information in the transcript anyways

So thats it, nothing else

Hi,

Estimated Date of Confinement (EDC) is the date on which it is expected that the baby is due to be born. It is also known as the Expected date of Delivery (EDD).
Therefore confinement in medical terms simply means 'delivery'. So they just want your wife to do the xray once she delievers or any time after that as deemed appropriate.
Hope this helps
Ozone

Ozone,
Thank you for your professional explanation.
I am sorry for your NER. I don't know how you contacted CIC. I still believe that if you follow the procedures of Viktoria and CanadaJimmy and fax them, they may reconsider their decision.
Best wishes.

Shalom

No problem Shalom,

I faxed, couriered and called - so I did all I could have done. I was also in contact with Viktoria during the whole process so I cant blame myself for leaving anything to chance.

Good luck with the medicals
(and if you have any other questions for the physician with a high school degree I would be happy to help :( )

Hi Guys! I need your advices regarding the letter that I just received from my VO.

Dear XXXXX,

We have completed an initial review of your application for permanent residence in Canada, and we now require the following informations/documents in order to continue processing your applications;

* Police Certificate from overseas; FBI certificates for you and your spouse

* Medical examinations
You, your spouse and all your dependent children whether they are accompanying you to Canada or not must successfuly complete a medical examination as part of Canada's immigration requirements. Refer to the attached medical examination instructions and list of Designated Medical Practitioners for more information. (Medical instructions will be sent once we received photos of your step-children)

* Two(2) recent passport-sized pictures of your step-children

* Payment of Right of Permanent Residence fees (RPRF) of CAD $490.

Guys,
Is this just a letter of document request?
Can I send through dropbox frist the photos of my step-children so they can send me the medical instructions?
How about the RPRF? When is the best time to submit? Our FBI was issued on Feb 2, 2011, can I still submmit that or do we have to request for a new one? I need you guys to help me on this matter. I thank all of you and God bless us all!

BIG CONGRATS to Victor for visa and Ekram787 for decision made

Hi Ehdgar,

I believe this is your medical request, they tend to club it together with requests for other documents they need. You can submit the RPRF when you submit the other documents they have requested. I'm sure other members who have experience with FBI PCCs would be more helpful, but as far as I know, in general the PCCs should not be older than 3 months at the time of Submission.

Next, Congratulations to 9j and Louise. You have both waited sooooo very long to get your PERs, I truly hope that the rest of the process speeds up for you. 9j, please make sure you get well soon. You need to be hail and hearty to travel to Canada soon.

Congratulations to all Visa receivers!!! Trailends, victor.shareen, your journey is now set to begin.

Last but certainly not the least, Thank you Pippin. Suffice to say you always manage to put a smile on my face and I honestly can't imagine this forum without your sense of humour!

I will advise that you quickly send the photos of your step children so that their medical request can be sent as early as possible. I will also advise that you send RPRF for you & spouse(2X$490) with PCC together. I don't have any idea about the validity of FBI PCC.
You may use a courier to send them but as for drop box in your VO, I cannot really tell as it may depend on different VOs. Just my opinion.
Best wishes

ozoneozone234. Sorry to hear of your unfair NER.

Hello friends,
Unfortunately, I have some bad news.

I contacted CIC immediately after I received an unfair NER. However, they stuck to their guns and insisted that the decision was final. Even though the decision sounds very ridiculous (telling me my highest education was high school when they assigned me full points for work experience as a physician).

I believe everything in life happens for a reason and since there is no formal appeal process, I have decided to accept the decision in good fate.....life has to go on. Since I finished a masters program a few months ago from Canada, I now have a lot of points to spare so I am planning to reapply in the near future once I gather the necessary documents again.

To the seniors here and everyone in this forum who has offered kind advices and have been supportive, I say thank u. Please you can now remove me from the active spreadsheet.

And one final question, I suppose at this point I will be getting a refund. Anybody knows how long it takes to get a refund after a refusal?

I'm very sorry to hear this, but I believe there is definitely a better solution waiting for you. May be they will introduce some new system where the processing is 4 to 6 months ;)

Good luck for your future :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
