Is it safe to assume that security and background checks were done prior to VO sending the Medical Requests? It has been almost a month already since date of our medical requests and so far my employers have not received a call from the VO.

thanks everyone... i didnt find any date on the letter.. but my dad says he received the post on friday i.e 11.3.11. so i feel it wud ve been dispatched say 4 days before..

VO asked me to submit all the docs (incl. passport) before 22.4.11

so took an appointment with the doc for tomorrow. and according to bindu_allam, PCC will take around 10 days. i have a small issue here as i am no more residing on the address that is mentioned on the passport.. and they say that PP ll be mailed to that address after PCC.. so have to check it out at the counter...

That is exactly the same case I had. My current address is different then what is mentioned on my Passport.
Passport office refused me the PCC. Not exactly refused, but they said that I will have to undergo a verification same as it was it was done when they issued me the passport initially. Only after the successful verification, they will issue me a PCC. I am sure this whole process would have not taken less than a month.

I then decided to take it from the Senior Superintendent of the Police. It took a week’s time.

whats happening to all the other Visa Offices...seems like only New Delhi and Manilla VO are active and sending MR & PPr requests....

all the others are still sleeping i guess.... : : hopefuuly they wakeup soon

Beijing VO has sent out a lot of MEs as well, it is acting fast!

Singapore VO is the only one that sent out 2nd AOR one month ago and yet nothing comes out! Wake up, singapore VO!!!

Security checks might not be over yet. But i guess it is safe to assume the documentation checks(employment etc.,) are OK

I have a minor change in my address now, and I'm not sure if i should report it to the VO. The entire address remains the same, but the pin code has changed. I guess the old one would still work, as this changed last week only.

I'm pretty sure any mails with the old pin code would be delivered, but with a small delay may be ???

i was talking abt the passport after getting PCC done.. not from the VO..

then the best is to get it thru the police commissiuoner's office.....it takes about 10 days....all the best

Hi There..

Just read your question....I was in exactly the same situation as you....my ecas showed that they had sent me an email...but i had never received one...I sent an email query to CIO...took them 18 days (approx) to send me a reply and they asked me to confirm if i had received an assessment email from them....I replied that I have not received anything from your office and please can you resend the assessment email....it took another 10 days before I got the PER...

Hope it helps.....Send them an email today !!!! make your life easier....

Hi Indira,

No need to change the PIN code, you will still rceive all communication on your old PIN code.

I typed the wrong PIN code in my application form (210*** instead of 201***).
I realizd it just few days back.

Still I got both my communications from VO.

I am not planning to change as this may push me back a few weeks and delay my process.
