It's a 42 - 45 pages document that will tell you more about how far your application has gone, you will know if your application is in CIC system, and if so it will tell you the country handling your Visa application. Like when I did mine from Lagos, my application was been handled by d canadian visa office located in London. The document will show to you if your biometrics have been cleared, criminal record cleared or not and a remark at d last or 2nd to last page by a visa officer. Just google abt d notes
