No , I applied in August and got my AOR in septmeber. My ecase says my application processing. I really don't understand why they rejected nick22 application. I was told that my work experience counts since the moment I get my work permit which was in February 2011. This is so unfair.

Thanks Johnny31!

I sent my updated employment letter yesterday via both mail and email. I know they get upset when you send same info from two different sources, but I had no other option :)

I would have never known about this had I not visited this post....thanks everyone!

Hi

I have similar situation too. I also graduated in December 2010, started working full time in April 2011 and the degree was awarded in June 2011. I have sent you a personal message please reply as soon as possible for you.

What does your ECAS say? Application Received or Application in process ?

acknowledgment of receipt. This is the first step in your application. You will get an email or a letter in mail telling you that your application was received and will be processed.

I meant to ask him about his ECAS status, not AOR / definition of AOR.

No Problem! I'm going to guess that your current status on ECAS stays "Application Received" ? For most people, it makes them feel nervous or anxious because they wonder how long the status will be updated to "In Process". But in your case, since it still says "Application Received", chances are they still haven't looked into your applications yet, so I think it should be no problem to add additional information to your file since they haven't even started processing it. Good Luck to you!

That's correct. My ecas says application received.

Kaur - I will reply to your pm shortly.

@gg08

Sorry, my Ecase says "Application Received". I am very worried they reject my application.

Can you get an updated work experience letter from your employer? If yes, you can try to send an updated work experience letter and a cover letter explaining your situation / ask the Visa Officers if they could use the new work experience letter instead of the old one. Since it's not rejected yet, you still have a shot!

Hi guys,

I don't have the AOR yet and I can't track my status on Ecas yet. I got the updated reference letter from my supervisor already dating Nov 19 2012 (my graduation is Nov. 16). Should I go ahead and send the letter asap or wait until Nov 19 ? Or does that even matter ?

DEFINITELY wait till Nov 19th.

It must be hard, but it's better to wait until Nov 19th to send it - if you do it now, it will may arrive on the morning of Nov 19th(or before) and it will be apparent that your employer post-dated the letter(not a good idea).

Hi Guys,

If you have noticed in my last post, I indicated that my application was received in August 27, 2012. I just noticed that in my application I only claimed my work experience until July 2012.

I asked my employer to provide me with an updated reference letter that shows I have also worked in August.

I just wrote a letter explaining my situation and was hoping if one the seniors could kindly take a look at my letter and tell me if I need to change anything. I really appreciate it in advance.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to you to provide an update of reference letter along with supporting documents to my application. I have applied under Canadian Experience Class and my application was received on August 27,2012.

I originally have indicated in my application that I worked for XXXX studio for 3 months. However, I wanted to add an additional month of August since this experience was also gained before my application was received. I am still working for the same company and I have attached a recent reference letter along with my pay-stubs.

I really appreciate it if you could kindly consider this letter to update my application. I do apologize if this may has caused any inconvenience for you.

Sincerely,

XXXXXXXX
