I got my GCMS last week. Funny, the GCMS was generated on 19-June but I only received it last week.

I couldn't find any mention of Ottawa other than Medical results received by Ottawa HMB. As per the GCMS, my file is still in Buffalo.

I see the following under eligibility.

Type: Eligibility EC-QC/PNP
Status: Recommend Passed
Status Update: 05/25/2012
Due Date: 08/29/2012

Security - Not Started
Criminality -Not started
Medical - Passed for me, the status is blank for my spouse.

Does anyone know the difference between Criminality and Security check? Many of the sections appear blank for my spouse. I can only think of privacy law of not to disclose medical results of spouse since I applied for GCMS. Does anyone have a similar experience?
I got my notes last week, and pretty much all sections were blank for my spouse. I guess you are right they wouldn't disclose the info other than mine because of the privacy law or something.

Under assessments though, it says medical passed so I'm assuming that my spouse and I both passed the medical. Otherwise, it would have been in progress.

i just want to explain and ask about something ...

about me:
i am 36 years old and single
i have more than 10 years work experience in restaurant and food services in Egypt including 4 years as restaurant manager
i have more than 15 CDR bank account
my English is good according to the british council level test
i have a bachaler in animal science - faculty of agriculture - cairo university (i have also some experience in my study feild)

many English courses certificates and "basic in french"

as i got rejection one month later because of my ielts score but i want to reapply one more time
i know that skilled workers immigration program stops accepting any files till mid of 2013
so i found that the provincial nomination program is good for me..

i thought of manitoba or sasketchewan (they are suitable for me i guess)

i am confused about some steps in the process from the begining ..
first what about job offer ?? i mean shoud i get job offer first of all from an employer in the province ??which means i have to contact any employer in canada by email or whatever to obtain an official letter to proove that i have an offer???? if is true tell me plz how to start..

and after that should i submit my application to the province adress attached with my job offer letter??

and then after i get acceptance..should i submit my main application to the centerlized intake in canada and so on ??

what about the processing time??
what about fees??? is there two application fees??one to the province and the other to the centerlized intake??? how is that??

plz my dear help me to get understanding and to know how to start ...

Hello hhagaballa,

Welcome, here in the forum.
I can not answer all the questions, unfortunately.
But I have some answers, they are in the text below

hhagaballa said:

I unfortunately have no experience.
I live in BC.
But I think here in the forum you will find lots of information.
Or directly on the websites of Manitoba or SK.

i am confused about some steps in the process from the begining ..
first what about job offer ?? i mean shoud i get job offer first of all from an employer in the province ??which means i have to contact any employer in canada by email or whatever to obtain an official letter to proove that i have an offer???? if is true tell me plz how to start..

Quite so simple it's not.
It is really a decision in which province you want to go, or rather you find a job.
Because only then can I tell how it goes.

I can only tell from BC.
And there you have to find an employer.
And you have to work with him at least 9 months.
Only then you can apply through the PNP program.
These regulations vary from province to province.
Therefore it is very important in which provinceyou can find an employe
.

and after that should i submit my application to the province adress attached with my job offer letter??
As I have already described above, it is not so easy to answer.
But that simple is not it.
It all takes a long time.
It is not as fast as you might think.

and then after i get acceptance..should i submit my main application to the centerlized intake in canada and so on ??
If you have received the nomination of a province, you can then apply to the federal progam for a PR.
The nomination is in most cases, valid for 6 months.
During this time you must apply yourself to the PR
.

what about the processing time??
Processing time varies.
PNP takes 3 months to 6 months.
PR ranges from 12 months to 18 months.
This may take even longer but faster.
No one can say something about the processing times.
The case is different from the case.

what about fees???
PNP = $550 single
PR application... = $550 single
When PR comes to the medical check-up = $250 - $300
Translation costs few hundred dollars is (to the number of documents must be translated)
It is difficult to say how much it will cost ..
later, the landing fee = $490
PR card = $50

This is the cost if you do the application alone.
Does it make a lawyer, would be additional costs for the lawyer.
Cost is between $ 4,000 and $ 6,000, plus tax
So that is not very cheap.

is there two application fees??one to the province and the other to the centerlized intake??? how is that??That's right.
I have described above

plz my dear help me to get understanding and to know how to start ...
thank u very much
much appreciated

Thanks

The idea is not wrong at first.
But it does not matter where in Canada.
Workers everywhere are wanted.
The question is where do you get faster, an employer?
And where is the PNP program easier?

And since I've heard it will be easier in SK and MB.
But there were the demands made harder.
So it's really not that simple
What is already easy in life?
... ::)

i have an experience in the skilled workers program but it stoped to the mid of 2013 ..so i guess PNP will be suitable for me ...
Yes, they have stopped the program.
Because at the end of the year, come new immigration rules.
In particular, the Skilled Worker Program.
And there's no one knows exactly what is going to change there.

Another reason that there are very many applications.
And the Immigration Department can not process the many applications.

you have my info. in the previous post .. now i want to know if im eligible in BC program ..
I can only speak from BC.
For the other provinces have different rules in force.
Since you have to find yourself on the websites.
Or read here in the forum.
Until you have all the information together.

In BC it is so, it must be your occupation in the NOC list in skill level 0, A or B.
In general, it is so. There are other rules for the Skill Level C and D.
I do not know what is your profession.
And what is your skill level.

I think that's one reason why many go then to SK or MB.
Because there the requirements are not as high. ;)
And so it is easier in the PNP program from these provinces to come.
So you are able to apply later to the PR.

But more information you can found here ....

http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/Welcome.aspx

i don't understant about job offer at all ... in the skilled workers program it was about my work experience certificates .. should i contact an employer in canada first and get an official letter from that employer ??
i really don't understand ..

That's not quite right.
As I said several times it was here are very many differences in the PNP program.
In BC it is so. You need an employer wants to hire you.
The employer needs a LMO.
If the employer has the LMO, you can apply for a work permit.
Then you come to Canada (BC) and work for the employer at least 9 months.
Then you can apply for the PNP.
If you get the nomination of the province you have to apply for 6 months the PR.

what about IELTS score??That is one reason why I applied through the PNP program.
In the PNP Program of BC, you don't need any IELTS test.
Anyway if you are in the Skill Level 0, A or B

This may be regulated differently in other provinces.
Therefore, it is really hard to predict what is the rule in Canada
Because PNP is independent of the federal program.

it's ok about the processing time but the fees are very high .. my application was only 550 CDN why so expensive ...
about the representive, i really can't afford it ..
First of all .... Immigration is not cheap
Everyone wil make money.
And you must pay ;D
And since you want to apply in the province, you must then pay a fee for the province.
Then your application goes to the Federal Immigration Department.
And you must also pay a fee. Since it is a different authority.
And so the immigrants paid a lot of money.

Why so much money does a lawyer is a mystery.
Because most of the work you must make by yourself .
The attorney then writes everything in the applications and then sends it.
At first I wanted to hire an attorney
I was too lazy to make the requests.
But when I heard what the prosecutor wanted to have money.

Then I say, no, that'll do it themselves.
So I've made both motions alone.
And I've saved a lot of money.

now i just need to know if im eligible for BC and plz explain to me in details how to be eligible and the first few steps ...

thx again my friend
much appreciated

@ WNIBC,

again thank you very much.
I still have some inquires and i'm sorry if i didn't get some of what you wrote.

You said:

Simply, do you mean that it doesn't matter SK or MP? I mean is there any problem for me with BC PNP??
I almost read the whole web site of BC PNP and i'm interested in this program but i'm still confused unfortunately.

You said:

I'm 36 years old and single "never married and no children".
I have more than 10 years work experience in restaurant and food services field in Egypt including 4 years as a restaurant manager.
I have more than 15 CDR bank account.
My English is good according to the british council level test.
I have a bachaler in animal science - faculty of agriculture - cairo university (i have also some experience in my study feild).
Some training certificates during my studying.
Many English courses certificates and "basic in french".
that's my info., is there anything wrong or make me not qualified??
I read in the web site about the employer requirments that there is something called "Credentials"..what is it? and what if i don't have except my work experience certificate??

another important question:
Is there any kind of problems of being have my work experience in that field which is not related to my study??
It was not a problem at all with the skilled workers program.
Actually, i used to work in that field along with my study 15 years ago. I have also some experience in other work categories.
Please clarify this point to me.

could you please tell now what my skill level according to my profission?

What is the relation bet. immigration visa and work permit visa??

Really there is no need of IELTS???

About fees i got what you said my friend thank you :)

I can't afford an attorney or any representative at all specially after knowing of these all fees i should pay.

so, i want to start with BC PNP and i hope you can answer me my friend and please forgive me about these many questions.
Thank you very much

Ohhh, really asking a lot again. Is Okay.
It is an important issue.
But you must read it for yourself.
Here in the forum are a lot of information.
Or on the website of the Immigration Department.

I will try again to answer a few things.

In principle it is, it does not matter in which province you are.
You must meet the requirements of the province.
And there are many differences.
In some Pronvinzen the requirements are higher than in other provinces.
So many try to go to those provinces where the requirements are not as high.

...could you please tell now what my skill level according to my profission?
Check out the link to an NOC from the list I sent.
You have to search, what profession suits you.
And what is important, PNP is an employer program
And because it is important what you get for a job.

Sorry i didn't get what you want to say.. Do you advice me to go to SK or MB because they have easy program?
That's what I've described above.
It looks like it's easier in MB or SK.
Because the request is not so high.
But there are changes made by the provinces.
What is current today may already be history tomorrow.

What is PR?

Permanent Residence ......
Then what everyone wants, otherwise you need not apply in the PNP program.

What is LMO?
Simply said, this is the permission for the employer, that he can hire a foreign worker.
The LMO is an issue for the employer.
With this theme you have nothing to do.
This is all a task for the employer.

how to come to Canada for 9 months only and then apply to PNP??!!I'm so sorry my friend i'm really confused.
I need to know the normal steps. i hope you understand me.

It's simple. You come to Canada with a work permit.
Unlike you have no chance.
Furthermore, we write here all the time You must be in Canada and work legally here
Only then you can apply for the PNP.
And the 9 months related to BC.
That does not mean you can go back home after 9 months.
The 9 months are the minimum requirements for Canadian work experience.
The longer you work in Canada, the better it is.
Because in Canada, the work experience counts almost more like the qualification.

What is the relation bet. immigration visa and work permit visa??
I do not quite understand the question correctly?
What do you mean by dne relationship between two visas?

If you come to Canada with a PR, you have complete freedom.
That said, you are independent from each employer.
You can work where ever you want.
You can do any work.

With a work visa you do not have the freedom.
You can not work where you want.
You are dependent on the employer.
For the employer, you can get lucky or not.
By that I mean, it's a good company and not a company that treats foreign workers badly
There are many examples.
And this is always a risk with the work permit.
You do not know what a company at the end.

Really there is no need of IELTS???
That is correct.
That is one reason why I went through the PNP program.
But as I said, the requirements are changing rapidly.
What is this year is possible.
May have changed in the next year already.

About fees i got what you said my friend thank you :)
Yes, it is not cheap.
The cost for one person are quick by $ 2,000
These are only the costs and fees that everyone must pay.

I can't afford an attorney or any representative at all specially after knowing of these all fees i should pay..Yes that's a lot of money.
And there is no guarantee that you will get the visa then really.
So I'm not talking about the work visa.

I mean the PR visa.
Because if a lawyer says it's 100% sure that you get the visa if you take the lawyer.
Then he is not telling the truth.
Because he makes not a decision.
The decision will be made by the Immigration Department.
And this makes the decision and not the lawyer.

so, i want to start with BC PNP
That's a long way.
And the first thing you need to read a lot, so you understand how the system works.
And you must find an employer.
Then work a few months.
And then maybe you will have the opportunity.....

thx again my friend and im sorry for these all questios ..
i did read a lot about all the PNP ..

what i understand is:
PNP to any province is that One of Canada’s provinces or territories can nominate you to settle and work there ..which means to be PR in Canada ..
but at first i have to get job offer from some employment "official offer" to be eligible and submit the applicaion to the province i want to settle .. i don't know the way i should contact the employer in canada but i know that i must meet NOC with my profission ...
if im qualified then i ll get the nomination letter to submit it with the second application to the immigration department ..

now my profission is included skill level A as a restaurant manager .. you said i should go to canada at first by work permit and then apply to PNP .. i understand that i got a job offer n then apply to be PR and get the visa ... that's why im confused my friend ..
i want to come to canada as PR once .. unless there is no other way except getting work permit at first ...
if so, its ok .. but how i search and find an employer to get that work permit ??

thx again my friend
much appreciated

That you can advertise in the PNP program

No you have not understood properly.
PNP is another way to get PR.

You have applied for the PR yourself, and your application was rejected.
To still get the PR, it's all about the way a work visa.
And with the work visa and the time that you work in Canada then.
If you reach the requirements that you can apply for the PNP.
With the nomination of the province, you can then you apply for PR.
This is another way to get PR.
..

i want to come to canada as PR once ..
Many want that
But they do not reach the points that are needed.
Therefore, you must come with a work permit to Canada.
And then make the long way, to get the PR.

In my case, after nearly three years in Canada

unless there is no other way except getting work permit at first ...
if so, its ok ..

but how i search and find an employer to get that work permit ??
The problem is you have to find an employer who has an LMO.
Or want to apply for an LMO for you.
This is the important document to get a work permit.
Basically it's like if you have the LMO and the job contract then you get a work permit.

To find a job Google is always a good address.
Or search here....

thx again my friend
much appreciated

i found a lot of job offers in this site my friend in my field as a restaurant manager and assistant manager, but what is the next step?
i understand now that is to apply in PNP in any province i must have this job offer and LMO first and live in canada at least 9 months to be able next to apply as PR..is that right??
i'm sorry my friend for my confussion, i can't imagine that i get work permit and then get visa and go to canada without applying application first? am i right now??
there is no way to be PR in canada directly except applying to federal skilled workers and it delays now to the next year ..right??
now, how to contact an employer? is it normally by email they post in the website? and how to choose the most suitable one??
another thing, how to know if this employer has LMO or not??
is there a good chance for me to get this job contract and LMO in your point of view???
what is the procedures exactly??
how do the employer and the visa office make sure that i'm honest and that i really have sufficient experience in my field to get a work permit??
i need to know really if i have i big chance in this program with all condition specially in BC??
another personal question, what is your nationality my friend?? can i speak with you by phone??

thank you very much again for all your effort my friend and plz forgive me for all these questions ...
