For how long does it usually take to change your application ECAS status from "Application Received" to "In Process" ?

If my status is still "Application Received", does it mean that it is still in Sydney, or it is resent to Ottawa already (I got my AOR at April 2013) ?

Usually around medical request so you probs have a few months to go.
However some people don't get in process status - CIC doesn't appear to be v consistent in updating :-s
Your application is highly likely in Ottawa

You can order gcms notes - they are generated on application and sent to you 30 days later
It's free if you're in Canada
However, you should know that most January apps who have ordered gcms still don't have eligibility started - only criminality so you may want to wait a few months.
