Hi, I had applied for my husband in mar 2013 and got the approval in april first week and then received a letter new delhi to send the passport. We had sent on apr28-2013. Now when I check the application status by using the immigration file#, it shows the status with application received. Is there anyone who can advise me that how long will it take to get the passport with the visa for my husband.thanks!! Pls help me.

Thanks for your reply. I couldn't understand the mean of VO abroad. But I can tell you that the file is in New Delhi.I am a permanent resident of Canada and living in Vancouver, BC. I hope this will be helpful.

The current processing time for the New Delhi VO (Visa Office) is 12 months from the day they receive your complete application from Mississauga. This processing time is based on how long it took them to process 80% of the cases between Oct. 2012 - Sep. 2013. New Delhi is also one of the VOs that request the passport very early in the process. You should hear from them in the next 4 months. If nothing happens by April 2014, you can send an email (case specific inquiry) to them and ask for an update on your case.
