application mailed a month ago but no confirmation :( How to check?

mailed the application a month ago and not even sure if they ever received it in Mississauga! we dont have a UCI or a client ID just the receipt # for payment.

do they email us when its received? how to confirm if they even received it?

They don't usually send an email right after it's been received.
So unless you used a delivery option with tracking, you won't know for now.

Don't worry though, they will eventually get around to sending you an AOR.

Like Cedeel said cic don't send email right away when they receive your app, the link below will help you reduce the stress to start looking at it until cic start processing the month you submitted your app during which an email will be send to you concerning your app, l hope this help, good luck.

Don't worry, we had the same issue. Their communication is very poor, but right after 2 months sponsorship app was approved and the case was forwarded to Ottawa... at least we got that in the mail.
You can try calling call center, they will tell you if it was received or not (make sure you tell them you sent it 2 months ago or they won't even look). They will never tell you UCI number assigned. It is very important according to CIC, what if someone will see the status of your app!!! oh nooo , but at the same time they just send it to you using regular mail ;D

I did sent it tracked mail but we lost the slip…

So they will finally confirm it was received via EMAIL, or by sending us a regular Letter in the mail?

We got a regular mail letter. There were no emails from them until August 20th.
