Hi Guys

I'm a March applicant (applied inside Canada) and expecting my medicals this month or coming month. But the problem is next month I'm on a vacation a little over a month. I'm just wondering incase if I do get the medical request can I do them in my home country and send the results to CPP-Ottawa or do I've to travel all the way back and do them here.

Thanks.

You can have your medicals done at any DMP in the world.

The DMP will send your medical results to the regional Canadian Immigration Medical Service Centre and a CIC doctor will review them and enter your information into the Immigration Medical Service computer system. The IMM 1017 that you will receive has a unique serial number on it, so when you return the executed copy to CIC they can find your IMS results in the IMS computer, assuming that they haven't already moved the results into the main CIC computer.

Note that the medical system is separated from the main CIC system - only the medical classification code is entered into the main CIC computer.

Good luck!
