Hey all, I submitted mine last day of December and then my application was sent back to me because of my photo. I have submitted with the new photo. Does anyone know how long it’s going to take them now to get back to me? Is it another 3 months?

If they sent it back, it starts over.

Oh no….!!!! It’s was just one piece though!!
If it's any comfort, they /might/ do the AOR process more quickly since it's been partially checked and the sending-it-back part can take longer.

But yes: it starts over. Completeness matters.

It’s frustrating because there was an issue with the photo and not at all my fault, some shiny spots on the face… anyways, I redid and submitted the digital one with a bunch of pictures from the front and back of the physical one. So hopefully all good this time

Anyone submitted their citizenship while being a daily commuter between US and Canada?

Look for threads for this exact situation. Many do, it's mostly about keeping a precise journal of your daily crossings, report every single one in the physical presence section (yeah, it's tedious, still needs to be done) and, highly recommended, keep a healthy buffer over 1095 days.

If you have a reference, could you please share the link?
I am planning to have buffer of 16 days on top (1111) days. Do you think that will be sufficient
Also I am seeing this biometrics, I am not sure what is that because I am planning to leave Canada after filling my application

I have a question regarding a one-day stay outside Canada.

During my first landing in Canada (just before becoming a permanent resident), I missed a connecting flight in the United States. The airline arranged a one-night hotel stay for me there.

Could you please advise if I need to include this in my travel history or address history when I apply for the Citizenship? I do not remember the full hotel address, but I do recall the hotel name.

I applied on February 14th and I just received an email saying that my application is incomplete and I have 60days to update and resubmit. In my physical presence I calculated my days on visitor visa prior to becoming PR. In my application i submitted my visitor record extension, cbsa record. What do you recommend?

this is a very common problem. CBSA entries alone are not enough to prove the legal status. Clearly, IRCC could not verify your status. You have 2 options: 1. Reapply once you have enough days on PR alone 2. Send it again with the same info. If accepted, in all likelihood, your file will become non-routine.

I am not a lawyer and information I am sharing is based on information available publicly.

yes, please include it. Similar thing happened to me. I stayed in a hotel for 2 days. I included the US hotel address in both PR and Citizenship application under address history [I moved here on a work permit].

Hello everyone,

My daughter has filed income tax in Canada only for the last two years because she was under 18 before that. She started filing taxes after she turned 18. Is it mandatory to file taxes for 3 years before applying for Canadian citizenship? If so, can she file taxes for the years before her 18th birthday and then apply for citizenship?

She just needs to comply with tax requirements for 3 years. If she had no income and as such didn't need to file tax, she can put "no" for both need to file and filed for a given year and it will still count.
