It's nice to see thing rolling!

Hi,

I applied for a visitor's visa. The application was done online on 27 February 2015. The processing time is 24 days as mentioned on the cic website.

Now I have few questions. ;D

1. Is 24 days processing time including holidays and weekends or just working days?
2. My sister and brother-in-law (both canadian citizens) are sponsoring me and hired a representative for the application. It is because of the fact that my study visa application was rejected in 2007 and needed a careful review of the refusal notes from that application. (To be noted: I am an Indian national, i applied from New Delhi back then, now I am studying and working in The Netherlands since 2008, so application has to filed in Vienna ::) ) How does this all affect my chances to visit my family in Canada? :'(

3. Do they ask for medical for visitor visa too?
4. In case my application succeeds, do I have to go to Vienna in person or can i send the passport to them for the visa stamp? :P

Thank you

That's all for today folks, grats to all who moved forward in their process, for others happy waiting, enjoy the weekend.
And mskakt, sorry I don't have any idea about visitors visa

RPRF received!!!
Congrats malitomek.
Can you please share your timeline so we can see how long does it take from medical received to RPRF?
I guess me, Bozance and some other members will be in next wave.

Woow that's a lot...
I hope Vienna speeds up before Easter or we are stuck here

Well, you can`t speed things up unfortunately. I saw that Uros has also received RPRF on March 10, and he has also received PPR on the same day.
He is from Serbia and malitomek is from Croatia like I am. We will see what will happen next week.

Uros received RPRF after 11 days after 3rd line. That's more like it :D

We'll wait and see what happens next week.

Hi to all people here and special thanks to micky :D

What will you say about my timeline and the current situation that I"m in right now.

My application was received by CIO,Sydney on 12 May 2014. I got my PER email on 8 October(Very late but OK, I got it). Because I got another child I have updated my application and all additional documents which were asked from VO Vienna's side were sent and received by them on 24 November 2014.

I have wrote them an enquery on 9/03 and after 2 days they answered me that my application is pending review by an immigration officer. This is very frustrating because as I can understand, my app is not even under review and is somewhere on their desks or stacks and is waiting.
I don't know what to expect right now. Also VO Vienna has increased their average processing time from 14 months to 29 months so this is another bad factor. I'm not afraid that I will get some negative result or decision but I'm frustrated because they work very slow and also I don't know which are their principles when they decide which application they will start to review.
If anyone knows something about this please share their experience about this matter.

I wish to all best of luck with their applications and I hope we will all go to our promise land Canada to live our lives and prosper :D

You could request GCMS notes from CIC and then try to figure out what is going on.

How to order GCMS notes if I don't have anyone in Canada to do it for me ?
And vane sorry to hear that. No idea what pending review means, I got reply that my app is under review more than 1 month ago and still don't have any news or ecas update. There was 1 more different reply for someone else, like "background checks are not complete,waiting for the results", that should be closer to mr I guess. Will see what will happen from Monday.

You can order GCMS notes from outside of Canada if you want. The difference is that you will pay $25 instead of $5 and you may wait a little longer. Also if you have someone in Canada, that person can order the notes for you, you just have to give them authorization. If you are ordering them, try to order them in electronic format, not CD, because it will be much faster. There is video on youtube on how to do that.

@calgarypr

Thanks for your advice but I will wait for now. Maybe is to early. I will talk with my friends in Canada and if they want to help me then I will try to ask for it.

@Vikiwow

Here you can find how to order GCMS http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp
