Hi all

Why dont you guys come and join the actual Vienna Thread here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/vienna-office-t74361.2505.html

it is a long standing discussion thread about Vienna. We would love to have you there and hear your good news. Vienna is like a stubborn mule. I do not understand that although in our spreadsheet we have 14 members only 3 have got an AOR so far. Nothing for the rest of us.
Here's our spreadsheet that you may also add yourselves there too: [urlhttps://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjvSDmSjyQZ0dE5DZk9Ua2ViTDRGZXhrM0w3V2xtdVE#gid=0][/url]

Thanks for the invitation @messenger but just as pointed out by @mataiz, this thread is specific to FSW.

Meanwhile, I check ur thread too but since u guys are mostly Family Class, I don't usually feel a need to leave a comment because there are differences in scheme of processing. I see that u guys get ur cases processed in just a matter of months but in our own case, it takes much longer.

Hello Anvaller and mataiz

You are definitely so right. I saw the label of your thread (Applicants VO Vienna please join) and it being in an area such as ( Visa Offices in Europe ) I thought it was a forgotten thread somehow lol ;D ;D
And since things in Vienna are awfully slow I thought hey some more guys to learn new things from them. Only after I read couple of the posts I realized the cause! ;D

Please carry on and I will be happy to follow on your progress and maybe post some questions as well because many people from home country are interested in federal skill worker class. Actually this evening a couple of my family friends are coming over to ask me a few things. Maybe I can redirect them here.

BTW I am sponsoring my spouse who is from the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia.

Thank you very much for your very polite answers and I do feel a little embarrassed to tell you the truth!

Best regards to all and God bless you!

Processing times have been updated - it is now 19 months for Vienna (FSW class, as of June 30, 2013).
Well, I am currently at 20 months, and still waiting ...

The year before was 14 months, if last year average rose to 19 (+5 months), and you are at 20 months already with no updates, that might imply that the current processing time is likely shifting to 24 months. Not good news if that is the case cos the waiting will feel endless.

Hi guys!

I am from the Family Sponsorship of Vienna. Our average processing times have also gone up a few days ago. from 11 to 12 months. Mind you that in February it was 10 months. I might not seem a lot comparing to yours but in this rate it will be much higher for all of us till the end of the year. And the worst of all Vienna has not (and I mean it) given a single PR since January! They do not even reply to emails and are not sending AOR's.

Any idea what is going on with this VO?

This is THE question - no idea, though, since not even the data (excel spreadsheets) have been updated since early april. So no one will know, possibly with the exception of the officers in Vienna. With new data, at least we would know what they have been doing in the past months.

In april they have replied to CSEs by several people, that there are unfortunate delays in all economic classes due to the additional workload (from the closed visa offices in Berlin and Belgrade). But still no news ::)

Maybe the strike is taking its toll. Even though Vienna is not affected per se, they might have pulled some officers to help out in other locations.

Hi

This is exactly what I forecasted to my thread members. That most likely workers from Vienna have been pulled and spread around to striking VO's

Hey guys, hope you all are doing great!I am back from two months vacation and kind of stunned to see that progress has not been made with any of our applications at the Vienna Office. What is really going on there?I read that the strike didn't affect the Vienna office, then what else could be their problem? Or maybe they are on vacation as well :)

My application is 20 months now and nothing except an email 4 months ago that there are delays due to closure of two offices (Belgrade and Berlin). This is really annoying...Now I understand why a friend of mine once told me that with Immigration to Canada, you just have to submit an application and there forget about it,because waiting for it seem endless and tiring...Anyway,I hope with the dawn of fall, the will be some good news for us...

Good luck to all of us guys!

Welcome back Gearman... We are all hoping for some positive developments as fall begins.

Anvaller, Gearman

Nothing new here, either. The waiting game sucks big time. It is really annoying, that Vienna does not seem to do anything (nothing here, and nothing in the Family thread, either).

But then, they did not do very much last summer, so let's hope for some action in fall (that is THIS fall!) ;)

BTW: did you find any updates on the data / excel sheets? The latest data that I am able to find dates from late march / early april 2013.

Well, according to this Operational Target, they plan to finalize / issue visas to 500 FSW persons (!) this year.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/ips/economic.asp

In this forum, I am only aware of one person (pre c50) who received a visa. Assuming that this forum represents maybe 5% of the global applications (this was brought up in some thread), there should be still lots of visas for FSW-applicants available this year. ;)
