Well it seems as if BC and I are referring to different source of information. Anyway, I look at the data here on this page:

I used the same link with the file "permanent resident applivants awaiting a decision" (date modified: 2013-01-02), file name 000023-eng.xls

This exel data is about persons and/or cases pending. If you go to the page "sw-cases", you can see the Skilled Worker Inventory (number of open cases) as of Oct 4 2012. From this I conclude the following:

As of October 2012, there were open cases for
pre-c50:
awaiting selection decision 0
awaiting final decision 151
total for pre-c50 151

MI-1
awaiting eligibility assessment 3
awaiting selection decision 1
awaiting final decision 21
total for MI-1 25

MI-2
awaiting eligibility assessment 0
awaiting selection decision 0
awaiting final decision 10

In the past, they were able to clear about 220 cases within 6 months. So if they started on those open 151 pre-c50 cases early this year, they should be getting to our files soon (I hope).

Thanks BC2013 and Anvaller,have checked the links and sure these are very Interesting stats and insight to what all VO's are doing so far....so guys,my question is, under what status are we now? Awaiting Selection or Final decision? For that is not really clear,I would assume " final decision" is after medicals and awaiting background checks while "selection decision "should be before MR, correct? If yes,then I wold assume what we got from CIC is literally a nomination and not a selection right?

Well, that is a good question, that can only be truly answered when looking at the GCMS-notes.
Selection Decision is the final assessment by the VO regarding the pass mark (points awarded). Once this is concluded, they will move to the "final decision" which includes the medical results, criminality check and additional background checks (backgroud checks are probably also part of the selection decision since they have to confirm some background for awarding points).

Therefore, I assume that we are still in the stage of "awaiting selection decision".

Do you know about the Operational Manuals? They give some insight about CIC-procedures. For MI-3, OP-6b is worth reading:

U are right BC, I was reading the stats a little bit wrongly but even at that, there are still issues with the figures. If u check the newest update on 18/4/13, showing inventory as of Jan 08 2013 one would expect the figures to have gone down. While the pre-c50 went down to 145, (just a difference of 6 cases) MI3 went up from 56 awaiting selection decision to 67 and awaiting final decision went down by a difference of 1. Total MI-3 is now 92.
That is not looking in anyway like the figures I expected to see in the new update.

I've send a CSE to Vienna Office on April 19, 2013 and this is their reply:

Please be informed that due to the heavy workload of our Visa Office has to cope with after the closure of the Berlin and Belgrade Visa Offices there are unfortunately delays in processing times in all economic immigration classes.
You will be informed about the further steps in your application in due course.

This is almost the same message I got last week - so no copy-paste . Quick reply, though. I am amazed they did reply at all, since the average processing time of 14months had not been exceeded.

@ Anvaller: did they update the files (they still show the last update as of 2013-01-02 on the download-site)?
Anyway, people like Doni will have to be counted in the MI-3 category, too. So this number had to increase eventually.

I know the waiting-game is really annoying, but they probably can not tell any better. Last june they told me "probably this fall" (2012 that was, or would have been). Others got similar info with a 4-7 months-wait-letter. So they really must ave underestimated the additional workload from the other VOs and are more careful now.

It is quite troubling that they seem to reply everyone except for me...hmmmm,why would that be?Or their CSE response doesn't come through email addresses or what?Its really annoying and disturbing.I am just pretending to be cool and will email them again early next month.

As per the stats,its amazing to get such much details on the links sent by both BC2013 and Anvaller.I was also disappointed to discover from those stats that only 40 cases (very small if you ask me) for MI-3 has been finalized so far with 34 approval and 6 refusal.The amount in 'person" terms is a little bit more with about 87 MI-3 person's processed so far,understandable given that there should be families involved in some cases as oppose to just one person.

Why don't they reply me?I cant help but think its unusual considering that everyone gets a response even those who's application has been there for shorter period of time compared to mine.Anyway,let me give them till next month.

After completing ur wait, I would advise you to send another CSE and state that they failed to reply to ur earlier inquiry. I am not sure if it is necessary to send both CSE and email, but that is what I personally would do in this kind of situation.
