Yes i will and what about you mate.

I'm confused about the SOP. It's not a mandatory document.
The thing is my current job profile is related to Marketing (though in the electrical industry). I've done BE in Electrical and now going for MEng. in Electrical.
Submitting a SOP might just convince the VO to reject the visa on the basis of non-alignment of my studies with my work ex.

I've got a letter from the HR mentioning my job duties (slightly different language used and Marketing as such not mentioned directly).

Any inputs on this?
Are you employed btw?

Its not mandatory but highly recommended.
Its tricky in your case but you can mention that you want to enhance your technical skills in your field and masters will help it.

Hello everyone...

I got admission in concordia for fall 2014.
I have already paid my GIC.

I want to pay first semester fee but i dont know wire transfer bank details bcoz on their they directed to western union business solutions website and ask me to pay through ICICI bank.

Could anyone plese help me in this matter and also tell me the exact amount of fee for first semester for m.eng program in electrical and computer engg.?

I am thinking to show bank statement of 8 lakhs and gic plus one semestee fee.Is this enough to apply for visa?

You will only come to know about the exact tuition fee after course registration. In case of prepaying the tuition fee just half the fee of whole year and pay that amount.
For wire transfer details check with the modes of payment or contact the accounts section.About western union some univ use that service.

I am bit confused regarding SOP. In the VFS document checklist for "university" category visa, SOP is no where mentioned. Though it is not mentioned, should it be included in the document to be submitted to VFS?

Sorry for repeating myself. But is it fine to apply for visa without paying the tuition fees? And is it possible to pay the tuition fees for first semester before registration?

Yes its fine to apply for visa without paying fee but its recommended to pay fee to make your file strong.Secondly, which univ are we talking about here.
You can pay the tuition fee prior to registration but you should contact the accounts department of your univ.

Can someone please clarify that GIC amount for QC province is $11000 whereas it is $10000 for all other provinces.

Hi Guys ,

Even I have applied for Meng in uOttawa , Ryerson , Dal and Waterloo .
My applications were pretty delayed as I was unable to decide if i should go ahead with further studies in the first place due to personal reasons and now that I have applied i am awaiting feedback from the above unis.
I mailed the Dalhousie folks and apparently I am waitlisted there after getting a positive response from the dept. While there is no update from anywhere else..

So waiting ...........

I have got the GIC for CAD 10,000 only. Doesn't matter that much. You can always show extra CAD 1000 in your bank account.

Yes its different for QC.GIC is for living expense,so Canadian government thinks that living is costly in QC.

If its less than 10000CAD then it will matter.Excess money never matter but it should not be less than 10000 CAD.

So shall I go with GIC worth $10000. Probably I will be going to Concordia (Quebec), although not finalized yet as waiting for other university response.
