I'm in the same boat. Sent Oct 2012 and was approved in Dec 2012 to goto Ottawa but since the only contact in July where they said that I didn't include police check, and then after I began to scramble to reacquire they contacted me 2wks later to tell me they overlooked it. Meanwhile I spent another $300 to Fedex overnight the police check and to goto lawyer again. So aggrevating, this process certainly has room for improvements.
I emailed my PM but never heard anything back. I'm thinking to goto there office next.
It almost makes one wonder if they stopped doing cases that were not at a medical point to focus on seeing ones that had medicals done through to completion to keep the 2013 numbers up. The 2mth strike certainly would have impacted that, and it would look bad to have a decrease in permanent residents, not to mention likely someone's year end bonus.
