These are that you must have for landing

-Immigration Visa
-COPR
-Bank statement (only your Balance)

They may ask you to return all of your study and work permits, because you do not need it any more.

Good luck with your landing

Thanks. So i need to apply for visa based on work permit before landing?

You will get an immigration VISA when you send your passport to the CPC-Ottawa along with your CoPR.

Guys I landed today at Peace Arch. everything happened in less than 20 minutes total as it was not crowded at all today. My friend drove me to the parking next to duty free parking and then I just walked along the road and took the pedestrian path towards US border where they gave me a flagpoling paper and then I came back to Canada customs and the officer just asked what is my status now, asked for my study permit and my address. Then got my study permits and told me they will be shredded as I wont need them anymore. and that was it. He stapled the COPR to my passport and told me it should be there until I get my PR card in 2-3 months. Although my friend told me that I would have to hang on to that paper later too.

A big Thank You to all of you for your great help. I was actually a Quebec applicant but then I graduated and moved from Quebec. It worked out as I really intended to leave Quebec anyways. Thanks again for all your help and wish you all good luck.

To whom haven't done the landing:

I strongly suggest you NOT bring your cellphone or DO delete any sensitive information on your cellphone.

I heard a sad story recently. My friend's friend was repatriated when she was doing her landing. The officer checked her cellphone (not sure why), and found she worked part-time without proper work permit. She had to leave the country within 3 days, and was not allowed to enter Canada anymore.

When you are in the customs, relax and be quiet. Don't try to attract the officers' attention, such as taking photo with your phone...

That was not good. Anyway, she should not work without proper work permit. I think they already knew that's why officer went through her cellphone (may be emails and text messages) So they went for secondary check.

Which the port/border?

BTW, when did she work part-time without work permit, if she was a student and working after June 2014, it was OK because it is not mandatory to need off-campus work permit to work 20 hr/week.

Peach Arch, BC. It is very unlikely that they knew she worked illegally. I guess that might be random check or something made they became suspicious. She was with visitor visa. Anyway, just let you guys know and be prepared.
