As far as I know a letter comes along with the passport which describes all required documents. But from what I have heard from my friends: Passport, CoPR, Study Permit, letter that your still student (if you are), bank statement, some ID like driving license (if you have any), some coins( two 25 cents for Rainbow bridge if you you are on foot).

For completing your immigration process, have these with you:

passport (must contain an IM visa if your passport is not issued by a visa exempt country)
IMM5688 (confirmation of permanent residence, both copies)
Your original study/work permit
a document showing your mailing address in Canada (e.g. your Driver's licence)
a financial statement/ proof of income

Thanks a lot Kamranj and Cantaloupe for listing out for me.

Kamranj: Yes, I am still student. Would that be ok if i download the status of enrollment into PhD program from registrar office website or we need letter from department/graduate program assistant????
I personally think that first document from Registrar's office would be sufficient. Whats your thoughts?

Honestly I was a little conservative so I got an official letter a few weeks ago but I don't think that you will face any problem.

I have another problem. I will move to a new address very soon. Do you guys think that I can persuade the officer to send my PR card to a new address which is different from my driving license? Or should I change the address on my license first?
