Hi Guys,

I have just received the PPR email. :D :D

There are two options to send passport canada post or courier
which one is recommended and fast ??

Thanks for support from many forum members throughout this process.

Hey, Congratulations...

Hi! I just have a question about phD stream for my brother in Korea.
I read from CIC that 2 years completion of phD program in qualified Canada school allows students to apply for federal skilled worker-phD stream.
Here does "qualified school" means any university that has phD program or are there specific schools for it?
I could not find other information from CIC website. What is the 1 year work experience to do with the application? Does the TA/RA experience apply to it?
What are the other qualifications to apply for this program?
Is there a website I can take a look?

Thank you so much.

There is no more Federal skill worker-PhD Category from 1st Jan 2015. And 2 years in Phd is only in Canada not other foreign countries. You can go through express entry program. Any occupations can work with express entry.

Did you try to call CPC-O to ask for the reason? I saw some applicants got their DM around May 30 called CPC-O to ask for resend of PPR

other countries aren't interested in your PR card, so you can travel to where ever you wish with or without it ;)

If you've already landed and you want to travel, have your CoPR with you when you come back. Also bear in mind that commercial flights won't let you travel without a PR card (unless you have an old TRV that still appears valid and was not marked as cancelled when you landed as an immigrant, in which case you could just show present that to the airliner agents and get on board the plane)

Hi Cantaloupe,
Does this mean that if I have an old TRV that appears valid, I don't even need a PR card to get back in Canada? Thank you!

NO. Old TRV is only good to show airline agents to get a boarding pass :P

I have a question guys :)

I am studying in Quebec.
Where should I land? in Qc or out of Qc?

I will finish my study next year, so should I apply a CSQ?
If so, how?

THANK YOU GUYS!
