Has anybody applied for work permit recently? Do you know how long it will take approximately to receive the work permit? Thanks.

I am not student anymore, no work permit and PR yet

I hope you get PPR soon. I know it's frustrating but nothing to do. By the way, if you have passed 18 months from sending your application, you can call the center and ask for sppeding up. Meanwhile, I would suggest you to go to your local MP and ask for help.

Everyone. Good to see lots of positive updates in most of u. I am wondering anybody recently receive the PR card? Its been almost 54 days for me but did not receive mine. I have checked the processing time and it seems like they are increasing the days almost in every week . Currently it is 58 calendar days

Good to see you here again. My friend, don't worry. All of us here are wishing to be in your situation (after landing).
You can call them and see if it has been issued or not. Sometimes, they give this kind of information and even they may tell you when it will be sent to you.

It officially takes 64 business days. A friend of mine applied for it recently and got it after almost 3 months.

OMG!!! I have seen some people get it after 6 weeks

I hope you are doing fine. I relate to your frustration; My boyfriend waited for his PPR 2 years, he applied in beginning of 2010 and finally got his PR in late 2013, he had to renew his MR twice. It was so much messed up on CIC side for his case, and I know they are much more organized now.

I hope local MP can speed up the process in your case. Try to stay positive and do not let frustration make you upset

I hope you are doing fine. I relate to your frustration; My boyfriend waited for his PPR 2 years, he applied in beginning of 2010 and finally got his PR in late 2013, he had to renew his MR twice. It was so much messed up on CIC side for his case, and I know they are much more organized now.

No nothing, I am assigned to AW5180 and apparently she/he will send the email first and then update the fourth line. I am not expecting it very soon though, 2 of my friends who did their medicals 1 month before me haven't received it yet. So I don't expect to receive it any time before July

One of them applied Sep 5 the other one 22. They both are from Iran. I guess the security check takes longer for most of us :

Did you order GCMS notes recently ? For me and a lot of other Iranians on forum, files are sent to CPC-O Program Integrity after medical which means longer processing times.
