You will get the RPRF and MR soon ;D :D
probably in a day or two

Yaaaay Just got the RPRF and MR emails right now. I received them as two separate emails (actually three emails, two MR emails for me and my spouse and 1 email for the RPRF) But they were all sent at exactly the same time

Congrats :D
+1 for you

Did CIC ask you for any extra documents?

Thanks so much for the reply. No they didn't ask for any extra documents. I have already submitted the police certificates from my home country along with the application, may be that's why.
But I was really surprised they didn't ask for a proof of fund, as I only submitted one month bank statement with the application (I had no clue it was supposed to be 6 month or so). Do you think they can ask for this proof of fund latter on? I have been saving for quite some time for this moment :)

Sounds good, ;D
I heard this (Proof of fund) from other applicants too. They had the same situation as you. I am not sure whether they will ask for proof of fund later or not, but to be safe keep this money in your account for 2-3 more months.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I am super excited right now, wishing everyone here gets some good news very soon.

Thanks PhD2014 for ur advice. I will keep the money in my account for the next several months, until we hopefully complete our landing. Let's wait and see what will happen next.

Hello guys, I received my ppr last Friday. The whole process is faster than I expected. Here is my timeline:

NOC: 4012
App. Filed.......: 11-Sep-2014
Med's Request: 05-Feb-2015 (got additional doc request along with the medical request)
Passport Request: 30-Apr-2015

I registered this forum when I started my application and got lots of help from your discussions (although I did not post anything at all...)
I sincerely appreciate your efforts to share your knowledge and experience regarding PR application!!! And the person who initiated this topic, you are so great!!

Hope you guys get your ppr soon!!

Congrats and +1 for you ;D
What kind of documents the CIC asked from you along with MR?
Would you share your nationality with us?

Yes, PhD2014 is correct, you should keep this money in your account for another couple of months. Frankly speaking, i do not think that you will receive the POF request right now but if you were to expect it, you should expect right now otherwise they might ask you at the time of landing. Recently i received the POF request and had to send last 6 months transactions to CIC. And i do not know whats happening with my application now. Fingers Crossed :(.

I'm assuming for some reason you have a valid study permit but not a valid TRV. In that case, CIC says you should apply for a new visa only after you receive your new permit, and not simultaneously. (that makes sense, because people in CPC-Ottawa who will issue your new visa need to base their decision on an approval of your new permit which is to be made by another officer at CPC-Vegreville; so the latter should be finalized before the former can start, right?)

My recommendation is: wait for your new permit, then apply for a new TRV. If you get it in time, you can go to your conference.

German consulate will check if you have the right documents to return to Canada after your proposed length of stay in Europe. So if you don't have a valid visa in your passport they might get mad! you can e-mail them and ask, they're pretty fast in replying, but be sure not to confuse them with a long and detailed email!

And finally, if you get your immigrant visa soon enough, you can just delay your landing until after you come back from Germany. I don't know why on this website everyone is in such a RUSH to land the moment they get their visas, as if CIC might change their mind lol

Thanks a lot!
In a case i receive my PPR before receiving my work permit, i don't need to apply for canadian visa using work permit? Am i right? After receiving my passport with pr visa i can do landing back from germany?
(Or i need to get pr card ?)

Once they ask for your passport, they'll issue an Immigrant Visa for you. You can use that visa to re-enter Canada and land as an immigrant. Once you land as an immigrant, you become a permanent resident and eligible for a PR card. So yeah, if you have your immigrant visa in you passport before you leave for Germany you can land on your way back. You won't need another type of visa.

What a Beautiful Day!! :D :D

I received MR as well as RPRF today at 4:11PM. We were so disappointed few days ago and lost hopes because of fluctuations in the balance, Proof of Funds request although We had more than CIC recommendations. Now, I assume that CIC is convinced on what we sent them and in turn sent us MR and RFRF in 2 emails. At this point in time, I would like to share this joy and thank everyone in this forum for the continued support to your fellow immigrant.

Special thanks to Adamant (+1 +1+1 for you my friend), Formal_Verification (+1+1+1 for you my friend), and Ododo (+1+1+1 for you my friend) for very kind suggestions and your words brought more energy within me to deal with this and finally it turned out well.

I would like to wish everyone waiting for something from CIC should get it soon.. :D :D :D :D

Cheers,
PhD Applicant FSW
