App Rcd: 29 Sept 2014
CC: 13 Dec 2014
PER: 7 Jan 2015
MR and RPRF: 28 March 2015
Third line update: 14 April 2015

What next and how long do i have to wait for for the next step?
Thank you all.

For all still waiting for positive updates, ur good news is on the way. Relax. as long as you have not been told that your application is rejected, it means you are on course for a successful application.
I know the waiting period is sometime killing, but we will not die.

+1 for you

Can someone tell me why some people receive PPR without third line updates and some people receive third line update but no PPR for months.
Are there further verifications after third line updates.I though before CIC can request for MR, all verifications have been done and before they post third line update, you have been cleared of any medical problems?
Are my assumptions wrong?
Please, enlighten seniors.
thanks

Hi phemdorc,

As far as I know, most of the applicants got ppr after 3rd line update. My case is very rare. I had the IME number problem, so that may delay the 3rd line.

Can you explain what do you mean by IME number problem?

After getting MR, you will get an IME number (Immigration Medical Examination). But the doctor couldn't identify my wife's IME number, and he created a new UMI number instead.

Well i don't know if different visa office operate differently, but i guess they should follow similar protocols. In my own case, we (me and my wife) already had the IME numbers written on the medical request forms CIC sent to us. We only took the forms to the medical center for examination. We didn't get number after medical requests. They came together.

Getting MR doesn't mean u have cleared the 'Admissibility' which is the next and final evaluation step after 'Eligibility'. Perhaps u have to pass both the Medical and criminality check and then u will get the PPR or will pass the admissibility. For example in my case I was requested MR and PCC together, now even i passed the medical they still have to wait to see my criminality both from RCMP, USA (if applicable) and from home country has to be cleared. As u can understand these check varies from person to person (also no. of dependents in ur application) and thats probably the reason it takes different time duration for different applicant.
eCas update probably not directly connected to GCMS thats why whenever VO do any activity (like MR, RPRF or PPR) its not automatically gets updated. Also they probably do not take it very very seriously since they knows that they r directly contacting with the applicant and he/she already aware of their status. This is an assumption though.

Thank you for your insightful thought.
As far as the criminality check is concerned, all police clearance certificates (for me and my wife) were already included in the original submission package. So i think criminality check should have already been assessed before the medical request though.
