I can see a trend in issuing MR and RPRF. The trend is that MR request is likely to come after 5 weeks when application gets to OTTAWA.
I have up to three cases,including myself.

I have submitted documents to show intention to live outside of Quebec One week ago. Until now no news.

Hopefully we will have some news in couple of weeks

I am not sure. I actually did couple of mistakes on Generic form. I sent them the corrected one, I think this is delaying my case. They will definitely ask. Everybody are getting letter to prove their intention of living outside of Quebec including couple of my friends.

I don't know the recent one. But there were couple of in the past (last year). You can also find some on this forum.

Did you recently get any GCMS notes? If so, it might give you some info on your eligibility.

I have a question regarding FBI report. Who needs FBI report? Anyone who visited US or who been in US for 6 months or more? Do they ask for anyone who never been in US too? Applicants who went through FBI report are most welcome to reply, please.

Why don't you call them? I have seen many applicants of FSW2014 got useful response about the status of their application by calling CIC.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried to contact CIC using the CALL CENTER at 1-888-242-2100. But after many options, it is impossible to reach an agent. At the end, there is always an automated messages that says that due the high volume of calls they are not able to transfer the call to an agent. Any suggestions?.. I just wanted to know if they are still processing applications or if they already reached the cap for PhD Stream. Thanks.

I actually tried once. It is so frustrating to listen the automated message. I waited more than 45 mins on hold and finally got chance to talk to an agent for 1 min. Try again, have deep breath and wait on hold. In the beginning they actually tell the estimated waiting time. What I did is, made hands free and work at the same time, it is very annoying but I did it.
