I think, these days, CPC is working on provincial nominees applicants. One of my friends got landing fee request after 8 months of medical done. This may be a reason why late sept and early oct applicants are not getting anything.

I don't think so. I know an early September applicant who got MR today.

OK. It means they are still working on early Sept. :(

Soon it will be our turn :) Don't worry. The good thing is that these days the acceptance rate in this category is almost 100%. It was not like this a few years ago.

I have one question out of curiosity. Why people from Quebec apply under federal immigration programs like fswp?
I was under the impression that if you live or study in Quebec, it should be a lot easier to get permanent residency status through Quebec itself. The case that I remember is that in the past after one year of study you could apply for pr in Quebec. Have things changed a lot since then? Has it become harder to get pr in Quebec?

Because, we need "Advanced intermediate level" of french to apply in Quebec provincial nominees programme. It is very hard to study french and get advanced intermediate level proficiency. Quebec made mandatory french language since 2012 August.

Hello All,

Any new form applications submitted mid December?. My CC hasn't been charged yet.

Why don't you call them? I have seen many applicants of FSW2014 got useful response about the status of their application by calling CIC.

Don't worry. As Kamranj said, I have seen many applicants with some major mistakes in their applications got MR this year. It wasn't like that before. I saw many rejections for minor mistakes. I was following the PhD forum from 2013 though at that time I wasn't active. Be optimistic ;)

Thanks Viva for comforting me. Will see. I will get something in few weeks. BTW, I already moved to Ontario and applied for address change but still coming to Montreal for study :) Hope this helps my application.

Absolutely. Having a new rental contract outside Quebec(especially a long term one) will be considered as a good evidence of leaving Quebec.
