Guys, I've got a question.

I called the medical centers in my city. Most of them are either on vacation or busy. The best time I found was March 4th but my friends (who done their MR) do not recommend that physician to me. The next available time is March 9th with a physician recommended with all of my friends.

My question is that: in the pdf I received for medical exam, I am required to undergo the medical exam within 30 days. Considering March 9th means that I will pass 12 days of my 30 days. Is that OK even if the physician uploads the medical after these 30 days?

Please share your experience/knowledge.

Hi Viva,

Did you get your MR by email or mail? What is the Title of that email? Thanks.

Tony

For my experience, I got it on Nov. 7th, I did it on Nov. 10th and my ECAS was showing the third line on Nov. 18th.

I should say u r very lucky they updated ur third line within a week but in many cases it might take way longer. For me it took more than a month to get the third line.

These days i think they only send the MR through e-mail. I also got by e-mail and usually they put the title by the name of the application type and with application number....like.........FSW-Applicaiton for Permanent Residency in Canada-Application number.

You are right. For that period of time, they were really fast. It was the same for all of my friends in that time. But I know it takes more time nowadays to update ECAS.

I have a question. How long after MR you underwent the Medical exam and how long did it take to be appeared in your Ecas after medical exam? Thanks.

It should be fine as long as you have done ur examination within 30 days. What I did, when I sent my RPRF payment slip to CIC I have also included all my medical examination receipts as an evidence of compliance of the requests I have been asked for. Later I send an e-mail with the attachments of all scanned copies of the documents I sent through mail. I was lucky they acknowledges later that they have received all my documents. So you could try this too, although it sounds bit pain on butt but we have already put lots of pain on our butt when we submitted our PR application to CIC, isn't it ;). Good Luck.

I observed mostly status got updated in one week but some people got their status updated in one month, I feel I am only person who got status updated after two months, In my case my wife had done medical back home and i did in Canada, I confirmed with medical center in Pakistan and in Canada both mentioned as they have already submit my medical reports, so CIC did not access it i feel just beccause of their laziness, they sent me email about my medical at the end of two months, So I provided them details and they update it in one couple of days.

So I advise you in case if you don't get your eCAS status updated in one month then just send them email provide information about medical (receipts, doctor name and location etc) they will update it immediately.

Hi,

I got it by email. If you have provided your email in your application, they will send MR by email.

Actually, I got two emails. One asking for both RPRF and MR (title: Application for Permanent Residency in Canada:E****** (your file number)). In that email it says that I would receive the instruction of Medical exam in a separate email within 48 hours. In the second one (title: Citizenship & Immigration Canada: Information about E******), I got a pdf explaining the medical exam.

One of my question went unattended so posting again, I sent my passport to Ottawa Today, how long you guys think it takes to get passport back from Ottawa?

Based on the tracker and after talking with few friends I came to know it usually takes two, or maximum 3 weeks.

Mine was received last Wednesday. Still the return tracking number is not activated. It usually takes between 2-3 weeks.

Guys, Can you please help me.

1. Is it possible to undergo the Medical exam in another city rather than city of my residence (but still in Ontario)?

2. To which address did you send the receipt of your RPRF? (CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca or CPCO-Cost-recovery.CTDO-Recouvrement-frais @ cic.gc.ca ). Pepe told me I should send it to the second one while in my email there is no information regarding the second email and it asks to send it to CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca (attention to......)?

3. Did you send the receipt of your medical exam separately from the receipt of RPRF or you sent them together.

Thanks in advance for your reply.
